- You all know I love Kotobukiya's Bishoujo line. I also love Mai Shiranui. I have a huge polystone statue of her but I still felt compelled to get her bishoujo version. Unboxing her makes me want to go play King of Fighters!

Same for me, I received her and I was: "Wtf is that glossy texture ?"
I'm rarely disappointed by my figures but this time, I was a little bit.
Right? A bit underwhelmed with their decision.

Nice review. Just received mine today and I'm quite disappointed in the quality as well. Feels cheap and the shiny texture doesn't help.

@@EldinHeart If they hear our complains and this first version won't seII well enough.. they will for sure release a 2nd edition. But that might take some years.. 3 or 4 (as they do with some of their 2nd editions). And some people might also be upset if they get this shiny version and after some time.. they release a better one 😁
I don't know if it's the lighting but mine isn't nearly as shiny
Maybe a bit of inconsistency. But from an inquiry sent in, the gloss or ‘luster’ is on purpose; and apparently to be more accurate to the illustration.
@@EldinHeart Yeah I did see that comment, that did calm my slight worry about the Felicia Bishoujo coming out this month, since she's mostly skin.
I cannot wait for that one to release, definitely the one of the centrepiece figures of my fighting game shelf and especially the one of the 3 Darkstalkers bishoujos that will go in the middle. Morrigan facing her left, Felicia facing straight and Lilith facing to her right.

@@JayPeaOrtiz Felicia ended up being magnificent. Just got her today. Mai still looks so cheap. Felicia is as matte as can be. Standing next to Mai, Mai looks like a knockoff. I don't understand how they can be so different.
