  • REMEMBER! ALWAYS check the tides - particularly if it's a negative low tide. Especially if you're using a brand new launch and fishing a totally new area!! Don't be like me, I had to learn the hard way, lol! Not that I didn't know.... but my lackadaisical mindset, put me in a not so ideal situation. Overall though, great trip, explored a new area, caught fish, and eventually made it home safely! But best of all, I won my first 1v1 kayak fishing challenge and will have my entry fee paid for when we have our next private tournament. Hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for all the support!

    That was a great day, especially fishing new water. That had to suck getting stuck. I would think the no seeums would be brutal, but at least you had a beautiful sunset to watch. Really enjoyed the video.

      Definitely! I knew it was going to be low tide but I didn’t look at the depths. Negative 1.1ft that evening. Rookie mistake😅🤦‍♂️ Good luck out there!

    Hey man! I am new to jax and I love your videos. I have never fished from kayak before but strongly considering it. What model kayak do you run? Thank you.

    • @VISUAL-LY
      @VISUAL-LY  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate it man!! I would def recommend you start kayak fishing! I’ve owned several boats and ended up selling them all because catch so much fish from a kayak. I have a Native Slayer Propel 13. I don’t think they make that particular model anymore. It’s now called the Native Slayer Max. Or the Native Slayer Titan is cool too. Good luck!

    Hey I just got a gobierno passport 12 R and I was wondering if it could handle Nassau sound? Do you know if it can? And if it can’t we’re would you suggest going for sheepshead?

    • @VISUAL-LY
      @VISUAL-LY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely could. If you’re not very experienced, make sure to wear your life jacket. And I’d also avoid Nassau altogether from a kayak if the tidal coefficient is high. The higher it is, the more water will flow during the tide changes and it can rip crazy out there. Average is around 60 or so. Anything 85 or above, maybe avoid that area.

      😂😂It’s just a lame excuse😅 Truth is, I knew it was going to be low tide. But returned to the launch later than planned. And did not look to see if a negative low tide, which I later found out it was a negative -1.1ft😩🤦‍♂️Googan move

    Hey, I'm from Jacksonville, Fl, and rigging my kayak for fishing inshore, pretty much anywhere saltwater! I'm wondering if I could link up to go kayak fishing with you? Being that I'm new to this type of fishing and your expertise. I work for Military Sealift Command, so I'm in California right now! But, I'll be back in late April or early May.
