    What about the rights of ALL students? 😢

    • @1dash133
      @1dash133 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is the right of all Americans to peaceably voice their political opinion in public areas (such as open areas of college campuses) - to the extent that they don't abridge anyone else's rights. I don't see how campus demonstrations infringe on the rights of other students, who are free to ignore the activities and go on about their business.
      The requirement to show ID at entrances to Columbia University was publicly announced as an attempt to bolster campus security. IMO, it is really an attempt to stifle the students' rights by redefining the area from "open to public access" to "closed to public access", thereby taking it out of the category of public areas. Technically, Columbia University could then shut down protests under the guise that it is private property. It is a legal maneuver. I don't believe such a move would stand up under judicial review.

      This is from her message:
      "I assume this role able to stand on the shoulders of our two most recent presidents, Minouche Shafik and Lee C. Bollinger"
      Bollinger is primarily known for turning Columbia into the bastion of antisemitism, hiring the notorious Islamist Khalidi and being a friend of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad"
      The departing President Shafik is, of course, known for support for Hamas.
      This is from the earlier Katrina Armstrong's pronouncement: “Equally clear, and of great importance in this discussion, is that the Palestinian people are not Hamas and are not terrorists"

      The bulk of protestors were not university students. I think they're called "agitators" or, even better, "accelerants"

    شفيق ذهبت إلى الجحيم اما موالاتها لليهود فلم تنفعها ولن تنفعها ولذلك خسرت احترام الطلاب وكل ما كسبته هو مجرد تقاعد تعيش فيه الباقي من عمرها.

      Shafiq went to hell, but her loyalty to Hamas did not benefit her and will not benefit her. Therefore, she lost the respect of the students, and all she gained was just retirement in which she would live the rest of her life.
