Chromosomal Inheritance

- In this video Paul Andersen describes genetics at the chromosomal level. He begins with a simple monohybrid cross as viewed through Mendelian genetics and then shows how genes are distributed through meiosis to possible gametes. This is following by a dihybrid cross and a cross that shows gene linkage.

you saved my ass in highschool and you're still saving my ass in college genetics lol.
same here haha
I always binge watch your videos before an AP bio test. Thank you.
me rn
@@sav16658 Same! Which unit are you on? I'm about to take a test for unit 5
my only hope for tomorrow's exam
Me too....
Did you pass?
That’s me right now
5 years later, me too. How’s life
Did you ever pass that exam
THE PERFECT EXPLANATION! Thanks! I have watched more than 30 videos - without compreehension - until watching this
You make biology a bit easier to understand, thank you! ❤
Marty it always has been easy
@@iema6398 not to everyone
I know I will have to watch this again.
6 years later how is life
i am confused to the core now
Mohammed Ali keep practicing, it will get better trust me.
khan academy and mr. andresen are my favs.
Excellent summary, but you're using the term "gene" in place of "allele". "Y" is the dominant allele and "y" is the recessive allele for the seed color gene.
Leslie Bach thank u bcz I was a lil confused!
Alleles are alternative forms of gene.. so alleles are genes
Thank you for breaking that down. It wasn't as clear in class in regards to recombination.
i love your videos they are sooo helpful
why there is no crossing over
Because it will end up with the same outcome
@@SA-be1bn only 4 years late
Wouldn't the parents of the first crossing example (where both genes Y & R are on the same chromosome) produce more than only 4 possible gametes due to crossing over during meiosis?
if you have a test 9th period too and you’re here we got this
not only just helpful, but Suuuper helpful thx
I love you so much, thank you for these videos
I like your way of through the point explination.
You, sir, just saved me... Thank you very very much!!!!
3 of 30+ of my oohsites (as in 'ooh that hurts' when they are excavated from their site) inherited a chromosomally chaotic composure, where only 30% of mine are xo, latterly ovarian failure became a factor yet 3 in 8 were normal cycle.
there were no commonly abnormal results, although in the last as the patient i did not receive info on the non-viable results, which also all arrested before day5.
NB: Male factor - good mongrel stock.
Even if the genes of both the trait are on the same chromosome , can't they just cross over and produce 4 different type of gametes?
This is beautiful ^ ^ Thanks A lot brother
????woww u r good! but please can u make a genetics playlist
it was very helpful
Hello Mr. Anderson
Great video / channel
I need this video for a exposition of science ;-;
Sir, will you please upload your esteemed video on the topic of Lac operon concept and pbr 32 plasmids.
Thanks very much ! It's very useful !
Amazing video👍
Thank you soo much sir..!!
Helpful . thank you
I do not get it especially the genetic problem like RRYY ,RRyy
Ausome sir
yeah very helpful..thanks sir (y)
And I thought biology was hard...
U r simply awsm
hello biology class.

This is easily one of your worst explained videos.
Not the best video I've seen you do. Please re-record in English and a bit slower

189/2004, a causa dell'eventuale microchip inserito dalla signora per cui Moita SAREBBE di proprietà della signora: un bene materiale suscettibile di percezione costretto in uno stato di stress:È MOITA CHE DEVE DECIDERE CON CHI STARE. very badly taught. i m glad he isnt my teacher. being knowledgeable and being able to transmit knowledge are two very different things. this fellow needs to learn how to relate the information. the way he "teaches" you need to already know the thing to understand what he say. that is not teaching; that is "reviewing" of what is already learned.
Thats what I was thinking , plus he goes ridiculously fast. Probably why I click off of his videos with 45 secs.
lol maybe ur just dumb bud
Then go learn the basics and come back to see his intelligence cuz no one's going to explain it perfectly like him... He has combined the genetic basis of inheritance on Mendel's cross..
Thanks very much ! It's very useful !
