Nicole Kidman is such a good actress, but for the past ten years or so I can't take her seriously because her face is so frozen. It really takes me out of whatever I'm watching.
Thanks for pointing out the awful wigs 😂 that yellow blonde hair irked me. And the Malibu house surprised me in the beginning i was like she's a rich girl acting like she's struggling
The biggest issues with this movie are that it is both boring and annoying, and because of Joseph, I couldn’t stop thinking about out how bad Nicole’s wig is.
I think it had the most important features of a romantic comedy: hot people you believe fell in love. Plus, Nicole’s fear of getting involved with a young hot actor is not that she will get dumped when he moves on. Rather, it is that she does not want to have to « keep herself small » if her lover’s career fades . Loved that
Zac Efron is a damn fine actor. This Joey King I think just took a huge leap in her career/skill. She did such a good job here playing off the other actors around her. She was so damn believable, and I am inspired by her performance. Nicole Kidman looks like they have to use CGI on her face. I'm not joking there are a few shots I think are touched up with CGI. She does a good job though as the Mom, like a pretty damn good job. I unexpectedly really enjoyed this movie. Fun to hear you fellas discuss this one. Best to you.
Yes, in some scenes Nicole has absolutely no wrinkles or lines under her eyes - it looked super weird and I couldn’t figure out what that was about, but CGI explains it 😂
I’m wondering if Joey King’s character is also jealous of her mom’s love life? Meaning the fact that she may not have one. Just a thought…I haven’t seen the film yet
‘They don’t walk among normal people’. This sounds like a long advertisement for designer label consumption aspiration. The title made me think this would be a GRADUATE inspired situation. 😂 Whatever happened to the formidably talented Ms Kidman’s delightful freckles and beautiful curly red hair? Covering the freckles may explain the garish make-up (cue Emily Gilmore: ‘The garishness! The garishness!’; cue my horror of knowing anything about that show at that level of detail).
Living Out Loud is a great film and this film isn’t worth the crap on the sidewalk Holly Hunter could’ve walked over the streets of Harlem going to the Jazz club. That film was excellent and so underrated!
Love your reviews so much!!! I thought Kathy Bates looked younger than Nicole Kidman 😂😂… and seeing Nicole and Zac kissing gave me the ick. Didn’t see any chemistry. The actress playing Zara has a lot of charisma and potential. Although the situations were very unbelievably (I too noticed the weird scene by the see “isn’t it beautiful 😂”) she carried the film as she was the person who suffered (self-inflicted) the most and had an arch. I think 2 is a generous score but I suppose I did end up being sucked in (mostly in disbelief and hoping it to get better because of the quality of these actors).
Joseph's line of questioning the daughter's logic of 'protecting rich Mom' angle was honest! Maybe low in the comedic... I mean, got me thinking the script was trying to be clever by switching roles of a "concerned Mother" to a daughter instead - but it still falls flat🤨
I only watched the preview, and I also can’t get past her yellow blonde hair and puffy face. .i loved Nicole in eyes wide shut…she peaked in that movie…now Zac,please…wtf is wrong with his face? He was such a beautiful young man …
I thought this movie was unintentionally hilarious. It was such a stupid idea but I actually liked it because it was completely preposterous. I found myself laughing hysterically over the absolute ridiculousness parts of this flick.
Sounds boring and more writing by out of touch people you called it Joseph. I do love Kathy Bates also. But who is writing these movies? And i think Nicole is well past 50 isn't she?? Lol 😂 I gotta see this just for the wigs 😂

Agreed. I love her. Moulin Rouge is one of my favorite films of all time, but now I just find myself staring at her bizarre face.
I couldn’t finish Expat because of this
100% same.
i feel the same about zac efron
@@aurghh yes!!!
Kathy Bates looked absolutely gorgeous in this film!! She’s soooo incredible in everything she does 😊
Agreed. She was fun.
Joseph - "I'm not trying to make fun of them, but...(proceeds to read them both like a #1 Best Seller)"
LMAO
😂🧱🧱🧱 “A BRICK” 13:20
I nearly choked on my french fry, my WORDDDD
It’s definitely a have in the background watch. Zac and Nicole’s faces were so uncanny valley 🫥
Not Kathy Bates being the cutest of the main cast.
I really couldn't get past their faces Jesus. I was so distracted
Thanks for pointing out the awful wigs 😂 that yellow blonde hair irked me. And the Malibu house surprised me in the beginning i was like she's a rich girl acting like she's struggling
why are big name actors and actresses starring in netflix movies now?
The biggest issues with this movie are that it is both boring and annoying, and because of Joseph, I couldn’t stop thinking about out how bad Nicole’s wig is.
Zac looks like a brick? 😭
i hollered 😭😭
Listen, if you have Nicole's skin, you wear sunscreen at night 😂😂😂
"...a reunion after she peed on him in the paperboy" Now I need to look into the paperboy and see what that was all about lol
Ohhh, the Paperboy…I remember that one!! It was very unique, I recall. I need to revisit!✨
Joey King tries extra hard to be cutesy and quirky and she always lands on just being annoying.
I miss when Nicole's face had emotion.
What makes a 24 year old think she knows what a woman in her 50s is thinking and feeling? Talk about a reach.
Not a brick 😭😭😭
I laughed so hard lol
Are we now in the era of cougar movies 😂
I loathe kitten heels!!!
They really are hideous
The worst shoe ever created 😭

Loved that
Now I have that Madonna song stuck in my head.
hold on i'm gonna have to get a snack for this one 🍿

🫢 I see the side eyes 👀 are out 😁
I’m wondering if Joey King’s character is also jealous of her mom’s love life? Meaning the fact that she may not have one. Just a thought…I haven’t seen the film yet
Ok I need to pause this one and go watch the movie first now lol
Thanks for so much ❤

I stopped the movie halfway to come here...so far it's not giving 😬 I needed some Fish Jelly shady review to help me😂😂😂😂
Dang, I love Living Out Loud it’s so sweet

Zack looks like He-man 😮 It’s also strange that he’s super tanned and Nicole is sooo pale 😅
These two didn’t have chemistry
efron's "alleged" facial implants really aged him.
Joseph's line of questioning the daughter's logic of 'protecting rich Mom' angle was honest! Maybe low in the comedic... I mean, got me thinking the script was trying to be clever by switching roles of a "concerned Mother" to a daughter instead - but it still falls flat🤨
13:15 looks like a brick 🧱 💀
The problem with this movie was the daughter. The daughter is meant to be 24 but acts like a 13 year old. The daughter is what ruined this movie.
I only watched the preview, and I also can’t get past her yellow blonde hair and puffy face. .i loved Nicole in eyes wide shut…she peaked in that movie…now Zac,please…wtf is wrong with his face? He was such a beautiful young man …

What is Zac doing to his face. It looks bloated in interviews, idk it's weird...
And people got paid for this.
Not just paid. Millions!😂
Sounds stupid but I would probably watch it 🤔
I couldn’t get past Nicole’s crap wig. She always wears the most obvious wigs. She’s a blonde and didn’t need a wig!
Maybe she losing hair? So unnecessary if not…
Such a pity the script was not strong, everything else looked like this could be good, cast and director both standouts to me
This sounds terrible. Ive never seen joey king in anything good honestly
Nichol and Ethan are in a race not to look like themselves....
Did you misspell their names on purpose?? Lmao
Any excuse to watch Nic, Zac, and Kathy.
Is it worse than the brooke shields netflix movie?
I watched 10 min of that garbage film..
Yes it is 😅
😂😂😂
Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head
💜💜💜
I truly enjoyed this movie

I gotta see this just for the wigs 😂
🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🌞🍶🍿🍿🍿
I stopped about 15min in
You didn’t miss much 😅
i couldn't get past the first 20 minutes.....
You didn’t miss much 😅
Sounds terrible
Great face work
Nicole and Zack need to lay off the Botox 😮
