Just came up incidentally. Thank you! Your explanation, discussion on the concept, giving the images their voice within the (text) book - very timely for me.
Aaron, you channel came up by chance at the top of my search today "how to layout a photo book. I have a photo and book project in mind for 2023 and learned something very valuable from you about how people's eyes land differently in a photo book versus a typical, written book. Thinking about my possible book layout, I'll be planning my photos in advance to help the reader's eyes land easily where I want them. Thank you!
Great series so far. I use a very similar process for sequencing and layout, and would love to hear more on the publishing end of things. I've always just printed with a small printer and shipped the books out myself, but would be interested hear on printer selection and approaching presses or starting one's own.
Thank you for the video. I'm currently working on my first photobook and I've found your thoughts and experience very useful for myself. This process of sequencing images and designing layout is very foggy, not determinant and intuitive. But having some general guidelines help because it adds some logic and structure for not logical process.
