Thanks for this & your other Publisher videos. I began a photo book with it over a year and a half ago and then set it aside. When I went to pick it up again this past week, I felt lost within the interface and how-to procedures. Your refresher gets me back up to speed with minimal pain.
Thanks for the great tutorial.I am new in indesign and want to make photobooks Please make more tutorials en tips for making a great photbook whit different spreads.
If you decide to make any more videos on Affinity Publisher, could you please make some on how to create different types of book layouts? I’m interested in exploring different types of layouts. I’m sure there’s many possibilities but it would be helpful to look at some different examples.
Thank you for this video! I definitely would love to see more videos on Affinity Publisher, especially how to create different types of books/layouts in it. I’m also interested in tutorials about the rest of the Affinity suite, such as Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. I’d like to learn how each software can contribute to creating designs for print, as well as be used in the book-making process.
Is there a difference to placing photos using the Frame Tool or using Rectangle Shape tool (photo as child layer)? Also can a stroke be added to photos placed using the Frame Tool? Thanks for a great tutorial and for all your information!
hi Stephan, thanks for the video.. we appreciated u.. I am trying to order a book with 200 pages. I have tried couple times but not able to, can u help please. If u can do a video explaining step by step how u did your photo book.. the wood cover book. thank you
The wood cover book is maximum 60 pages I think. You can't add 200 pages to it. If you have issues with the editor, you should email their customer service through the webchat, they will be able to better help you.
Thanks, Stefan. Very elementary question: How do you get the spread you created in the video into a book-publishing platform? In other words if I create the bulk of my pages in, say, Shutterfly or Blurb or MixBook, how do I import the spread created in Affinity or InDesign? ...or something I may have produced in your Travel Map Creator?
Hi, I showed that in my previous video "How to set up a project..". You have to create a template in InDesign to match your photo book size in Mixbook or whichever you are using. When you are finished with editing, you export the spreads as a JPEG file and upload them to Mixbook and insert them as a full bleed page. I will make a step by step video for that too.
