Impressive perspective on learning and performing. The two zones can be separate is a great insight! We tend to blur the boundaries and struggle for desired results. Thanks Eduardo for this food for thought!
As a candidate for a crucial public exam next month, I am glad to have come across this video! I am always in the performance zone! Even when I am in school... I need to learn! And I believe that my brain is malleable
It gave me a useful clue to keep growing in any field. There are two zones, learning zone and performance zone. We need to retain learning zone regardless of our current level to in order to improving ourselves. I wasn't conscious about the notion, learning zone before I watched this video. Thank you for sharing the grate idea.
Thank you for this video Sir, it is very help full as I am preparing two essays, one about a fixed mindset, the other is about growth mindset. I learned lots from this video. The learning zone is more for the growth mindset people while the performance zone is for the those with a fixed mindset.
This was a powerful message , and it was impressive and full of perspective for learning and preforming learning standards. Mr. Eduardo had a good way of sharing his information to help promote motivating students.
An athlete would never try out a new move in a championship match you sir have never watched a shonen sports anime before have you :P joking aside great ted talk!!!
I haven't watched that. :) But as a clarification: I didn't say that an athlete would never try out a new move in a championship match, I said that "an athlete wouldn't SET OUT to first try a new move during a championship match" (i.e. they wouldn't set out to do it, but if they encounter a new unexpected situation during the match and determine that the best thing to do is to try a new move, then they'd do it). Glad you liked the talk.
This is one of my best TEDTalks and most used in my workshops. Such useful and practical tips and a great motivation for life long learning.
