I worked in the Lake Compounce water park each summer from 2009 to 2013. It's crazy how much it's changed. I used to steer the cabana boat from one end of the lake to the other. It's cool how there's a stage in the lake for concerts now though.

When I was there in 2021, the Venus Vortex broke down while we were in line, and they weren't able to fix it in time before the waterpark closed, and even if they did get it fixed, it wouldn't have mattered because there were lightning strikes near the end of the day.

Not necessarily in the waterpark section but there’s also a slow raft ride called thunder rapids which is fun and you get wet riding
