    At least in my experience so far, my kids are much less draining to take care of as toddlers than infants. Yeah they might be more work sometimes but they're much more predictable. • @goaway9977
      @goaway9977 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. Once your kid can talk you actually have to converse with them rather than just monologing to them and if you're trying to get some work done they will come up to you and ask questions or make requests. It's a lot more mentally draining as opposed to when they are infants and are happy to crawl around on the floor next to you and play with their toys while you work.

The dude and his wife taking offence needs to get a grip, people can have sympathy for others that are struggling or suffering but that ends real quick when they start using their situation to tray and change how other people live their lives.
    Easiest comparison would be if someone in your family lost the use of their legs and could no longer stand or walk, you are going to feel for them right up until the point that they demand that nobody is allowed to stand or walk in their presence.

    the "You wanna marry an Airport?" comment really hit me hard for some reason. Just saying that shit in the middle of this essay about the specifics in what group goes when really shows how absolutely minor and insignificant that whole ordeal was. Outside of the hiking one, this group was extra petty over nothing than usual.
    Also no offense but how was the lady in the pregnancy story suppose to be more sensitive about the subject? Ask the dude to go to the bathroom for ten minutes while they announce it to everyone else? Not like they singled him out or anything. Huge energy of "I'm still single so I'm upset my friend got a girlfriend" like I feel sorry for the guy and not saying he can't feel upset about the situation but that has nothing to do with them.

    • @dkamikaw
      @dkamikaw ปีที่แล้ว

      i think it is weird that he would board early. I wouldn't make it into a big argument but it doesn't seem right. It is kind of like if we were going to board the plane and she has to stop and go to the restroom. I would wait rather than saying I will just go ahead and meet inside the plane. You can think about leaving your partner 5 minutes early in a lot of situations and it rarely seems normal imo. The main reason why it would be normal is if leaving early somehow benefited someone which i think the post shows was not the case since they were both priority anyways.
      The lady could have been more sensitive in many ways. She could have announced it to her parents outside of the big party. She could have announced it by text or email. She could have basically chosen to announce it any time other than when the guy was there.

    • @AKAProm
      @AKAProm ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dkamikaw they were in different boarding groups. It's not like he went out of his way to board first, he is just following protocol. It's the most nothing thing in the world to be upset about. If they were meant to board together then I'd agree but as it stands this is quite literally creating problems for no good reason whatsoever.

    • @dkamikaw
      @dkamikaw ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AKAProm You don't have to follow the boarding groups. In fact, they stated that they didn't follow those groups for all of their travels up until that point. Why change then? There is a valid reason to question something when there is a routine that is being broken.
      When you have an earlier boarding group, you can choose when you go into the plane. You don't have to go right when you are called. It isn't expected. I feel like you, among others, are ignoring the fact that he still gets to decide when he boards. That is why I think it would be useful if you consider a similar scenario where the boarding groups are not a factor.
      What if she said she was going to go to the bathroom and he decided to board the plane instead of waiting for her? What if they were eating and he finished slightly before her and went into the plane while she finished the last 5 minutes of her dessert?
      I think it is slightly odd without a good reason.

    @NL if you find yourself reading this, just know I really enjoy your videos. Keep it up.
    So I was in the US army for the last 6 years, and am in my young 20’s. Last year a buddy and I did the cranberry 50 in NY in 3 days, 2 nights. We took our dogs and even got rained on. Look if we didn’t finish the hike, we woulda been stuck out there because the trail began getting flooded. I get that in the circumstances the Reddit post was about seemed to have an unlimited timing, but it’s super important to commit to the goal. Perhaps out on the trail was a bad time for the OP to recognize he wasn’t fit enough to finish, but he should have put his mind over matter and committed to the hike or canceled entirely. Sometimes grown up situations need grown up choices.
    During my 50 mile hike, we committed to getting half of the hike done first day. It was ass, even carried our own dog on the bag/back. But we put our minds to it. I’m not Superman but it shouldn’t matter to the OP of the Reddit post if it hurts too much, unless you’re blind, bleeding, or dieing, OP needed to suck it up.

    Announcing pregnancy with someone around who you know is struggling to get pregnant, especially if it’s as major as it sounds going through fertility treatments and stuff, is definitely not right. I wouldn’t even announce it to a friend, acquaintance, or coworker, let alone a family member in that situation. Poster is NTA, sister is TA

    Hiking is basically taking a dangerous walk. Usually you can’t hail a taxi to get home or you can fall off a cliff side.
    Look up Beehive in Acadia National Park. It’s terrifying and fun, but also deadly.
