F*cking awesome shit dude!!! Subscribed, I am a bloody beginner and I am glad that I hit accidentally your video. Your explanation is sooo good, specially about the hold of the dart. Did not hear or see something similar from anyone else, so detailled! Thx! Will begin to train this throw holding the dart as u showed… will be a challenge for sure 😅
Really great tutorials this guys a true pro..I always watch these videos when I start to notice inconsistency in my game..great reminders and always motivational!! Keep em comin
I'm right-handed but my dominant eye is left. For this reason I am not able to have my forearm and arm in the same axis when throwing, but my forearm is always pointing slightly to the left. I think I can throw better from the right eye, but the theory is to throw from the dominant eye. I do not know if it is a matter of time and I will get used to such throws with the forearm slightly directed to the left, or it is better to throw from the right eye. I admit that I do not understand this issue with the dominant eye a bit, because if I have both eyes open, it seems to me that I see the target in the same way, regardless of whether I aim from the left or right eye (but in the test with one eye closing it is evident that my eye the left one is dominant, because closing it, the view escapes to the side, beyond the window formed by my hands).
My forearm does not pronate nearly as far as yours does. If I attempted your grip my dart would be on a 45 degree angle towards the left ( I’m right handed ) on the pullback. What is your suggestion for a better grip for someone with my issue?
Hey Michael, I totally dig you're science behind it all. Excellent!! Just a question here, are u resting the dart particularly on the muscle that on the palm. And are u holding the dart with you're thumb and a finger or two or are u letting the dart rest at the bottom of you're thumb like in the middle of that muscle on the top of you're hand. Thank u!!
Hey Jason! Sorry for late reply =( First of all, I rest my barrel above my thumb palm muscle, just so that I know exactly everytime i throw it'll goes the same direction as my forearm goes. As for the grip, my grip is basic 3 fingers grip (Thumb, Index & Middle) the thumb and index is the 'power finger' and the middle finger is the 'control' finger. But practically, i dont really care how my dart rest at my finger as everytime i adjust my wrist, my fingers will automatically curling holding the darts. You have to understand that 'index finger' the problem finger and dont let it cover your barrel trajectory, so instead of somehow giving attention to the finger, try to give more attention to the wrist as the fingers will follow i hope my language is clear for u
@@MichaelVesperDarts I just used your tips on aiming the forearm and on grip and improved my game soooooo much! Thank you im still a beginner but i was killing it tonight .
Must say, Michael, I am really glad to find your videos on YT. It is so well said even a dumbass must understand that. Caught a lot of things I probably need to think of when throwing and I hope it will get me to the next level. And good luck with your play, gonna cheer for you! :)
That's my point, I never share about how you should grip, but I want you to understand the fundamental and then you discover your own grip. Everyone is different
Hands down the most in-depth explanations out there on the subject of throwing darts. Thanks a mil Michael can't wait to try these tips.
Thank you! appreciated! Hope it works well for you

I naturally hold/throw like Peter Wright. There is no way I can throw like what's shown in this video.
It is not a mandate. Don't worry, you and Peter Wright are safe. :-]
rookie challange kapan ?
I liked the video and found it helpful, but this is a video on grip that seems to have forgotten to mention how to actually hold the dart.
