I lived very close to the Harts. I never knew the brothers, they were in WWF by then, but I knew Stu and and some of the daughters. Stu stretched me many times growing up.
Anyway, wrestlers often showed up at the Hart house, and us kids always happened to be playing road hockey or wrestling in front of Stu's house when they did. Tenta was there once, and he was awesome, he played with a bunch of 7yo starstruck kids for like an hour. Four of us wresed him like hell, and he laughed like a child and would push us back and throw us off as we just continued, as kids do. Its a memory I treasure.
We'd bare knuckle box a lot, and stu loved it. He'd sit outside with his tea and giggle as we kicked the shit out of each other for Stu Harts attention.
      Best times of my life.

The one thing I really enjoyed about John's ring work was that for a big man he was fairly quick and athletic. I remember watching a match he had with Tugboat and both of them threw dropkicks on the other. That was rare in the WWF. You never saw big men do those kind of moves. Most big guy matches were slow and plodding, but John could work at a good pace.

I didnt usually like the superheavyweight wrestlers that were just big and fat. Forbthe most part, they cant move around very well and dont implement many actual wrestling moves. Having said thst, i di kinda like Earthquake ( hated the Shark gimmick), especially when he tagged eith typhoon as the Natural Disa
    sters.

He was the first ever awesome heel when I first started watching WWF in the 80's. The first angle I remember was him squashing Hogan's ribs.
Shame they couldn't have put the belt on him and built him up as an unstoppable squashing machine over a few ppvs instead of Hogan beating him immediately after taking a move that kayfabe hospitalised him weeks before.
A complete waste of a great heel that could have made more babyfaces for the company

There's is nothing to like about violence as who knows why the other people were fighting? I doubt it was about racism as that's ridiculous, they were probably fighting about a genuine reason and this bully who was trained joined in! And just imagine how embarrassing it would of been for someone having to help you ! Would of been soul destroying! And racism always gets thrown in if you fight a black man when no one cares what skin people have! No one cares apart from the media
