Beautiful watch. Correction 3:36 though, hardlex is just a mineral glass. Perhaps slightly more hard, but no one is able to proof any difference between it and normal mineral crystal.
Regular mineral crystal is simply glass that's treated to be shatterproof and have a level of scratch-resistance. Hardlex is harder and more scratch-resistant than regular mineral crystal because of the added boron and proprietary heat treatment.

@Amin just shows how greedy corporations are really. I struggle to get why seiko continues to do the opposite of what the consumer wants. Aliexpress watches are great an I'd rather 5000 aliexpress watches in a lifetime then 1 rolex 😆
I have a Steeldive which is fitted with an NH36 movement. Made by Seiko it is the 4R36 movement with an export name. Identical movement to yours. Mine runs just under 1 second per day fast (gains about 4 seconds a WEEK) so I think you would definitely benefit by having your Seiko 5 regulated.
4 seconds a week is amazing performance, that knocks COSC certification out of the park lol. I'm curious if you still have it and has the accuracy degraded?
@@freshfishonlyTo be fair, it has drifted out to about +6 seconds a day, and settled thereabouts. Still very good, though. I swap watches daily, so it get light use.

I’ve had mine about a year and love it. But, it had to be sent off for a repair to the strap which cost £40 even though it’s under warranty. Bit of a joke really.
@@ValFinale well, for starters, nowadays, no automatic can be a "true" dive watch... moving on, I referred to the description of the video, which says that it has a screw down crown, which it apparently doesn't, as I wrote the comment some time ago, when I had it in my hands, it was a present for my dad 😁
But these 7s26 variants 4r36 you don’t need to service it. They are not as refined as an eta 2824 but they will last many years over 20 years without a service and these movements don’t break as often as the better refined higher beats movement. The word disposable for this movement doesn’t equate to cheap stuff. It only means that seiko was able to mass produce inexpensive movements well made and designed movements that are not cost effective to repair

at 45 seconds lost per day,you cannot say that it's a watch!it loses or gains 10 minutes per week,that is a lot!
I had this same watch now for 2 weeks and it's only lost about 2 mins or less in that time, so it's not that bad.
