Brighton will be on the decline eventually. No club can sustain buying cheap and selling expensive. They might sustain Premier league for a while but it’s not going to be pretty. I’m not here saying McKenna won’t go as it’s a good progression move still but I wouldn’t think of Brighton as this stable prem club. They can soon find themselves in the bottom area fighting with one bad move or sale.
It's not buying cheap and selling expensive which is the problem, as long as you're buying quality players. The problem is that they keep selling their best players every summer. That is what is unsustainable. Buying cheap and selling expensive is actually a great model in general, you just need to keep your best players.
@@Fractalchemystical Agreed. But no where near as stable as having Ipswich's fan base, resources and history if they some how stay up - Ipswich have been an underperfiming asset for 25 years. People outside of Ipswich have no idea what is going on, and Mc Kenna did not come to us in L1 lightly, and he will not leave easily either. I do not see him going to Brighton as he has full say over players in and out, at Ipswich, and we have a united club, with owners, players, manager, supporters all on the same page. I have been an Ipswich supporter for 50m plus years, and realise how rare this is in football, and we have never been more united as a club. Kieran Mc Kenna will not walk away from that lightly, and we are well set up behind the scenes as well, and whilst we need to become PL established, we are a bigger club than all PL teams other than the top 9, and the bigger challenge for Mc Kenna will be seeing what he can do with us for the the next 2 or 3 years, not going to a Palace/Brighton/Fulham, and no disrespect mean to those clubs at all. He is hugely ambitious, and wants to manage in the PL and CL again, yet he is also highly principled, and will leave the stability he has at Ipswich at some point, yes, but personally, I do not see that as being in any way imminent.
@@kevinbailey3384Kevin - again as an Ipswich supporter show some humility. We had a team containing a number of league one players, we haven't been in the PL for 22 years and were in league one only two years ago. The majority of clubs that come up from the Championship end up in a relegation fight and go back down within 1-2 years. Ipswich will be no different with or without McKenna. Better to move on while he is flavor of the month than get sacked if Ipswich become relegation candidates in the Premier league.
Chairmen sell the club to the manager. If the chairman lies , in simons eyes, managers should just shut up and get on on with the job and be grateful. Simon hates players and managers and thinks chairen can do no wrong. De zerbi or McKenna areterrible for looking at other jobs, but Brighton can approach other managers at clubs and thats "ok"

Most teams never win trophies anymore. A smaller club could have a great FA cup or Carabao Cup run, only to get pounded 5 - 0 in the final by Man City.
Don't get this: Brighton is ahead of Ipswich at the moment but that could change dramatically by this time next year. If Ipswich go down then it certainly, but Ipswich can compete with Brighton financially and they’ll either take the league by storm or their struggle - probably nothing in between. Looking back at the ‘00s, Ipswich left a lasting impression; their potential seems to surpass that of Brighton.
That's what Simon does. He loves holding petty grudges forever, while preaching about how he believes in redemption. I commented at the beginning of the season when Brighton was "flying" and in Europe that they are just like Southhampton and in two seasons will be back to Championship. Some laughed and some Brighton fans didn't like it. Brighton is exactly on that same path and by the end of next season they will just escape relegation and the season after that they will go down where they belong. The owner thinks he can keep selling players and bring new ones and stay in PL making money. Next season the 3 clubs from Championship are way stronger than these shitty ones we had this season.

We live in a world where people worship pricks, and consider being selfish + inconsiderate a virtue in itself. No doubt you’re one of them
Brighton will be on the decline eventually.
How does the majority of the premier league think Ipswich have survived 20 years of asset stripping and careerists abusing the finances of the supporters and the club. Once that buying cheap and selling expensive players wobbles, how long until normal historic service is resumed for Brighton?
Fan base? What are you on? Your capacity is 20 something thousand. History is just that, the past. You'll struggle next season.
@@JohnSmith-kd1oh it’s 30 thousand m8 and their going up to 40 thousand in 2026 because they can reportedly currently fill the stadium twice. It’s not just Ipswich is it, it’s whole county of Suffolk and north Essex. Family member is a supporter
Crooky always with the latest 👏🏻👍🏻
Mckenna ain't going anywhere ...
You are out of your mind if you think Ipswich are the 10th biggest club in the PL 😂
@@environm3ntalist549 So tell me who you think are bigger?
@@kevinbailey3384 a lot of teams. I’ll start with Everton. Do you think Ipswich are bigger than Everton?
Mate, I'm a big Ipswich fan but it's crazy to think we are - at the moment - the tenth largest club.
@@kevinbailey3384Kevin - again as an Ipswich supporter show some humility. We had a team containing a number of league one players, we haven't been in the PL for 22 years and were in league one only two years ago. We are behind a club like Brighton by a few years who buy and sell players for £50m plus.
The majority of clubs that come up from the Championship end up in a relegation fight and go back down within 1-2 years. Ipswich will be no different with or without McKenna.
Better to move on while he is flavor of the month than get sacked if Ipswich become relegation candidates in the Premier league.
Crook is horrendous
You're not so wonderful yourself.
@@Fractalchemystical how do you know?
McKenna going to United will be "Damned United part 2"
TalkSport hates Norwich, Loves Ipswich.
Anyone know why?
To Boehly - you better not get De Zerbi to Chelsea!
De zerbi played for 15 clubs and has managed 7 in 11 years. No stability. I’m happy he’s gone. 🔵⚪️
This Brighton is a trash without De Zerbi....You will go to relegation soon....
The state of Alex crook….get in shape man. My god.
Why is it your business?
I think I could easily criticize your looks too, if I wanted. Can we get out of playground mode though please.
Steve cooper for Brighton?
Yeah, surprised he doesn’t get a mention- seems like a good fit.
There's one reason why McKenna would never leave Ipswich for Brighton namely he's not that frigging stupid.
Graham potter will go back there
De Zerbi’s leaving with pride intact, he was losing and is frankly overrated. McKenna has no need for Brighton
It is the over white teeth of De Zerbi that made a problem, Klopp along with him is gone so the the plague of snow blindness in the league has been reduced. Credit to Martin for at least mentioning De Zerbi's teeth.
Obviously you have a very tiny brain, if you think that's a thought seriously worth dwelling on.
Alex Crook only has 1 shirt
So does that mean Moyes going to Ipswich??
No to Potter. He deserted us and tried to take all the staff and players with him. The gutter press have invented the Mckenna story.
Alex Crook 2 days back: Brighton will beat Manchester United. I dont see Manchester United winning against Brighton.
Clown.
Sorry, I didn't realise Crooky was a clairvoyant who could read the future. I didn't realise football predictions always come true for everyone else. I'm sure all your predictions are bang on, being the next-level psychic genius that you are.

IS BRIGHTON A BIGGER CLUB THAN IPSWICH IN THE BIG SCHEME OF THINGS THO
Historically no, but currently Brighton are a stable Premier League club and Ipswich are not. Why would you not respect such an obvious fact.
Ipswich were big in the 80s.
@@Fractalchemystical I HAVE TOTAL RESPECT FOR WHAT BRIGHTON HAVE DONE I CAN REMEMBER THEM IN THE OLD 4TH DIVISION IAM JUST ASKING GENERALLY THATS ALL .
Stop asking managers to remain loyal to their clubs if their owners will quickly sack them as soon as the results go south….😎🤑
I don't understand who this "Deservay" person is that Martin Keown keeps talking about. I think it's about time that someone also teaches Martin that words like 'thought' and 'think' do not begin with the letter 'F'.
Tired of listening to his sloppy grasp of language.
Brighton is a well run club, if it's profit you are looking at, but they are never going to win a trophy.
Most teams never win trophies anymore. A smaller club could have a great FA cup or Carabao Cup run, only to get pounded 5 - 0 in the final by Man City.
Brighton to be relegated next year
need a right mananger
Not a left manager?
Chelsea and United jobs don’t come around every day.
Roy hodgson?
Brighton will get Kompany
Crooky standing there like Barney Gumble.
While you on the other hand, look like Adonis, right?
@@Fractalchemystical Yes.
Crooky, time to take care of yourself son!
Worry about yourself.
Alex crooks at the point of robbing a wage 😂
Zerbi is too big for his boots. One good season and now he thinks he is a footballing god.
They should change crooks name to twitter talk!
Why would "they" do that, especially since Twitter changed its name to X.

I would never want Rob Edwards at Ipswich.
I suspect a deal has already been done with Mckenna and Ipswich.

Simon loves to attack character
Ironic, right?!
@@lucamenato9997 It's a fair observation, nothing ironic about it. That's like saying there's something immoral about calling out immorality.
Yeah well done for just repeating that opinion many of us have heard being said elsewhere and claiming it as your own original thought. Very important of you.
