@@roline.c in kpop, having a handheld mic as opposed to a headset mic usually implies that the idol holding it is vocally stronger because they are singing live. even if they're not singing live, because headest mics (and subsequently lip syncing) are the norm, it's almost like a PR move to say this idol is "better" because they're singing live. hopefully that makes sense!

after seeeing this, imo the differences of itzy's and nmixx's dance style are probably in terms of sharpness, attention to details and synchronization. nmixx dance powerfully while itzy dance more precisely and synchronized with one another
They're synchronized as well, it was just that they already had the tiring O.O performance just 2 seconds before (or less) this one so they might've slowed down a bit for stable vocals at some parts.
