Jorg - that thing is phenomenal!!!! You truly are a master of thinking around the problem and solving it it in an exceptional way and lets face it, why use one bow when you can use two? It is really is a beautiful piece of work. Thankfully I mostly make films about existing designs and systems, so I am always a little constrained by what went before, but I do love a good video about ideas, and this is it.

He has pretty wrung out the performance parameters of actual ancient and medieval weapons. What you could do together is explore what could have been done with ancient and medieval technology to create compound bows and Fenris (sp?) magazines had weapons makers of the time thought of such things. Note the configuration of the TenPoint crossbow and how that might have been implemented 800 to 2500 years ago.

IMPRESSIVE display of the maximum lethal velocity equations you need to turn your enemy's "Cover into Concealment".
Your mind is an inspiration to so many of us who tinker with such contraptions.
My favorite was turning a Youth Sized compound bow into a vicious crossbow by cutting the limbs off decent fiberglass recurve into three sections and stacked three layers together leaf spring style.
That gets mounted at the end of 24' steel rails bolted to the chassis of a pistol crossbow and added a AR 15 stock.
My go to ammo on the cheap is using either aluminum or fiberglass tent pole sections. For real, this thing shoots so hard I can send tentpoles without any tips at all over half their length into solid half inch plywood. Sure it's kinda Sketchy, but what's the fun of building a machine with enough power to easily kill anything unfortunately enough to get in front of it..
Oh ya, I replaced the original strings with those super strong spider cables used on anti-theft security devices. Turns out they are perfect for my application.
Next I wanna try this idea I got from another TH-camr who makes some of the absolute coolest and deadly crossbows, etc out of things like springs and cut sections of 26' bike rims into some excellent cantilever bow...
      THEN ..
As he actually lives in Cambodia I believe, he ends each video by this Savage display of mastery at his craft by stalking and destroying at least three fish each episode out of this river he drives into seconds after drilling the fish with bolt tethered and man, this guy catches some big ass fish with these bows.
You'll find him just look up kill fish with compound crossbow.
      Good times folks👍😉

This kind of video is the thing I subscribed for. I love watching Jörg come up with new spins on obsolete systems and concepts because, while they might not as effective as the ones used today, they still work and it's fun to think about how clever ancient people actually were to come up with the stuff :) It's a bit like having a conversation with people from a long time ago.
