Ulysses isn't tired because he can't sleep. He's tired because he's still trying to figure out the Kingdom hearts lore in its entirety.
Ulysses is another character who I've grown to like more and more throughout Chapter 1. He's a bit of a dork (especially with his "Um... Hello" after his famous rebuttal) in an endearing way, and also, he's one of the smartest students in the cast! Which is interesting, cause he's a side character. In DR1, the only side characters who were arguably intelligent were Chihiro, Celeste, and Sakura, and in DR2, literally everyone aside from the main 3 was pretty dumb XD So Ulysses is a nice change of pace!
I mean I don't REALLY think there's such a thing as a side character in Danganronpa games, considering the small cast of vibrant characters and the context of things. Everyone either gets a spotlight as a victim or a killer, and those who don't are a part of the survivors. All of them can be considered major roles. Yes, he hasn't done much as of YET, but I don't doubt he will as we go forward.
Sonia was a wildcard when it came to helping during trials. She had either the smartest argument, or the dumbest. There was never a "midle tier" with her 😅
Mushroom as a favorite pizza topping actually makes a lot of sense. He can’t smell which would also affect his taste, so he probably enjoys things more for their texture. So either something really soft like mushrooms or really crunchy like peppers would likely appeal to him more than if something is spicy, sweet, savory, etc.

Ok, a *great* cast chat video.
The more I learn about the way the crew announced the casting to the voice actors, the funnier it is. Imagine just getting "👁" in your DMs with no rhyme or reason lmao
Anyway, Doctor PAP seems so nice! It goes without saying that his portrayal of Ulysses is great, ever since they first announced the voice actors his take on the line "Those who don't learn from history are doomed to... Sound stupid when arguing on the internet." has been stuck in my mind. He just has that blend of sleepy + slightly nerdy down so well! "And so on and so forth..." is another sound bite of his that I really love, I think the way he trails off at the end is really endearing. That goes for a LOT of his lines actually ("Um actually!" especially lmao).
And while I don't particularly think he's going to be a blackened, I AM also curious as to how Doctor PAP would handle a Ulysses breakdown voice. I can't imagine him yelling or crying or anything of the sort, so I'm very curious.
And to top it all off, the voice actors continue to have something in common with their characters! Here we have Doctor PAP telling us his memory is not that good, much like our beloved Mr "I don't remember trivial things, I have to write it all down"

I did like trig, and the simple reason is why I liked math in general: it’s a puzzle to solve. But I’m not using it for a career or anything, I go into STEM in college but no one is hiring me.
That's the thing about math that most people don't usually get
The appeal to me is really in the "I finally did it!"
Learning math has always been interesting because of how it works. You gotta warp your perspective to somehow find a solution that gets you from point A to B. (Which is why I love Geometry and Statistics the most)
A side bonus is helping others. Cuz whats better than understanding a puzzle yourself when you can help others understand too.

Didn't chapter 5's Kaito and Kokichi flashback count (i know theres more but this scene gets stuck in my head). I know it wasn't voiced acted but it was one of the flashback scene that showcase some genuine emotions coming from ultimate liar boi.

I could definitely see Ulysses being a university note-taker. Like someones job to take notes for other people (ie ppl who couldnt make it to class) he might like the other subjects except math ofc
