About Seinfeld:
Seinfeld stars Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

2:14 “we had to abandon ship” “well.. all vacations have to end eventually” 😂😂
So many incredible little lines ...
He told that shrinkage story to the board. 😂😂
It was a real tragedy indeed. He deserves that apartment.
He was in the pool!
Significant shrinkage!!!
Marble rye bread too
And the by the way thing after he stood up 😂😂
"Ahoy, Mr Eldridge!" hahaha George says to a shipwreck survivor. that's absolutely brilliant!!
Absolutely savage, low key brilliance
George invented passive aggression and every form of aggression between that and actual physical aggression which he's way too insecure to ever attempt lol.
it was the best line! ❤😂
Great line that I missed when I first saw this episode in the 90s
...how about abandoning this apartment and letting me shove off in this beauty?
"How many people you lose on a normal cruise? 30? 40?" Lmao! What an awful person yet so hilarious. George is maybe the greatest sitcom character of all time.
You're forgetting Gilligan.
I mean he kind of has a point.
George Costanza is simply one of the greatest fictional characters of all time. Priceless.
He is Larry David
"OH...also: My fiance died from licking toxic envelopes that...I picked out.
Thanks again." 🤣
"Ahoy Mr. Eldridge!", LOL
Czech?😂
Coming in passive aggressive lmao
George is easily my favorite character. He's both a failure and a legend. I gotta respect it 😂
🥶🥶💯😱😬😎😎😎
Love him !!
Lol
He's Larry David
And an architect
@@jimcrawford3185 And a marine biologists!! 🐳🐳🐳
The character of Frank Costanza was originally meant to be a mild mannered person. Jerry Stiller took it upon himself to flip the script and the rest is history. He was right and what a fantastic actor too.
Did you know that when he was 18 he had a sssssilver dolla collection?
He was Jewish.
“Order a hot dish.” Savage
Can you believe when i was 18, I had a whole, silver DOLLAR collection?
Constanza is modeled after Larry David, the creator of the show…
Classic george;
'The andrea doria....quite a fire'
-'shipwreck'
'I remember'
I looked into the eyes of the big fish. Mammal. 🐳🐳🐳
@@Lee.Higginbotham Whatever.
George was in the right here. That old man probably just got on a lifeboat and lived a good life for the next 40 years and has used this tragedy for his own personal gain every step of the way
You take this.... seriously.... okay pray tell how do you know thee Association didnt use it to get rid of George? Dont know what gainings that provides, but folks tend to take advantage of advantages they have; money, looks, sexappeal, race, education, popularity, charm, intellect, in many steps.
"Well, all vacations have to end eventually"
That's deliciously cold.
“The Stockholm may not sunk you but I will”. Like “make my day”What a line!
Kramer: 51 people died.
George: 51 people? That's it?! I thought it was like a thousand!
Kramer: 1660 survivors.
George: Thats no tragedy!
That's not a tragedy, it's a nightmare for an insurance company! I would bet half of my life-blood that the insurance company got away with 5 percent or less of the total claims for that event.
😂🤣😭 hahaha
@@mikethundercloud8097 It's a write-off.
I mean a typical cruise loses 30-40 people so....
@@dedgzus6808 Kramer: It's a write off for them.
Jerry: How is it a write off?
Kramer: They just write it off.
'Angry like an old man returning soup at a deli' 'Eased into the water like an old man into a nice warm bath' ....George sure understands old men.
The sea was angry that day!! 🐳🐳🐳
@@Lee.Higginbotham My friends.......🌊🌊🌊
I said EASY BIG FELLA
That's Larry David, who's been an old man his whole life, speaking through George
makes sense, he can detect the slightest of human suffering
“Where’s that breeze coming from?”
When your parents turn 65 you understand the Costanzas a lot more.
This is so very, very true.
My parents can have a 45 minute discussion about what container to use for holiday leftovers they will never eat.
@@texaswunderkind that turns into a shouting match before dad goes for a walk and his one allowed cigarette. Oh yea, my family holidays
@@jaya1000 Truly a horrIfying yet mediocre thing to be old. I don't recommend it to anyone.
“Stockholm might not have sunk ya, but I will”
Great line...I think I might use that🤔
@@mayhemjr.803 the next time you run into an andrea doria survivor i'm sure it will come in handy
The ultimate punchline to the episode, George STILL didn't get the apartment, turns out all you need to do is pay the super 50 bucks! Tough luck, *CHINLESS.*
Exact question I was going to ask… i couldn’t remember the ending to this one 😆
But this was easier for him because it costed him nothing…Financially.
"Ahoy! Mr. Eldridge!..." - that line always slays me.
Likewise, its just low key brutal
I bet the woman was legit crying 5% for taking George's statement out of empathy, and 95% simply for how painfully pathetic his life sounds lol 😂
George is such a selfish wretch...GOD WE LOVE HIM!😂🤣
The camera cutting in and out while George is talking is such a pivotal moment how drama movies are played out to get the real sadness for a 2 hour movie..THE BEST screenplays of all time...thankyou
This is probably Georges crown jewel. This storyline had me CRYING bro. The woman was sobbing at his life story 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol I agree 🤣
The way he forgets about his fiancé that died and says it walking out, his life has been a travesty lol
😂😂 even Eldridge was sobbing he knew after what he just heard that him surviving the cruise wreck can't compare to George life
I like the idea that “Astonishing Tales of the Sea” and “Astounding Bear Attacks” were bestsellers and that’s how Kramer’s been able to live all these years! 🤣
They were just books he owned, he didn't write them.
Half the stories in them were about bob saccomano.
@@bri9313 How come Kramer owned the books ?!
Can’t forget about his coffee table book on coffee tables
@@dylanhunt5655 he bought the books at a bookstore.
astonishing tales of the sea would make a great coffee table book
'Well, all vacations have to come to an end.' 😆 🤣
The Cat Steven’s line gets me every time.
It eased into the water like an old man into a nice warm bath.
Not like when the sea was angry- like an old man trying to send soup back at the deli…
How many people do you lose on a normal cruise? 30-40? Freaking hilarious!
It’s not shown here but I love when George is tapping the wall with his fingers while Mr. Eldridge is talking about his harrowing ordeal. 😂😂😂😂
That cracked me up!
"order a hot dish." 😂😂😂😂
Mrs Riccardi at the end, overcome with tears after George's testimony, that was the final touch.
Is the other woman at the table not the one of elaine’s office job at Petermans of the Susie episode
@@thedunneminopinion5804 No
Our wacky neighbor Kramer has books in his apartment, and amongst them is one entitled _Astonishing Tales of the Sea_ ... we know maybe 12% about this character, LOL. There's always some little surprise that we didn't expect of him.
Sir, your bullfighting prowess is th stuff of legend, what an honour to read your comment
@@teaguebrennan2428 It is most kind of you to say so. ((majestic bow))
Estelle H and Jerry S screaming bickering is like no other 🤣
The way he leaves after telling all of his stories with a smile on his face and the wave gets me every time. 😂
Not everyday you can lose your wife to licking toxic envelopes you picked out.
The wave gesture is perfect. It is like a cross between a wave and mic drop gesture. Jason Alexander got that just right.
Love how he threw in the fact that he murdered Susan at the end.
George is asking his parents to remember his childhood and his mom interrupts to complain about the draft in the room, Frank and Estelle begun arguing and viola, George recalls his childhood perfectly. 😂
Poor George never had a chance.
Ohh!!
What an exit.
That's how you go out on a low note.
Lol!
"He had no idea what he was up against!"
"Frank I'm cold!"
"Order a hot dish"
Mr. Eldridge should’ve been in the last episode testifying against George 😂😂
I'm a horrible person. If I was in that pannel I would have laughed my head off
🤣😂🤣😂🤣
"George what do you want to know about your childhood?"
"Actually I think I'm pretty clear on it."
"Oh, by the way, my fiance died from licking toxic envelopes that I picked out." Like it was an afterthought.
“ Cold water shrinkage “ like a scared turtle .
I don't know how we guys walk around with those things.
I love how Mr. Eldridge is just sitting in the background 😂
"Stockholm may not have sunk you, but I will! ... Haha!" ABSOLUTELY GOLD
I like to think when Kramer says “my book” that he wrote it.
That "thanks again" at the end slays me.
😂
Kramer might have the most interesting and wacky real life but nobody beats Georges imaginary life. 😂🤣😂
Kramer, writing a historical book is, in itself, fascinating and hilarious. Kramer is like an onion, there are so many layers.
Not imaginary. Everything George said in the interview actually happened in prior episodes.
“George, what do you want to know about your childhood?”
“Actually, I think I’m pretty clear on it.” 😂😂😂
“The Stockholm may not have sunk you, but j will” 😂
"the astonishing tales of costanza," LOL!!!
One of the greatest George episodes.
"Thanks again"
Then does a thumbs up to Mr Eldridge 😄
For years I thought Kramer wrote the book about shipwrecks.
😂😂😂😅
This is one time I was completely on George's side. He definitely had the old man beat on suffering.
“I LOVE Edmund Fitzgerald’s voice!”
We all do, Elaine. And he will be greatly missed 🙏
What else do you think George said? Keep it limited to events occurring before this episode.
"My father created a holiday called Festivus, which involved an aluminum pole, airing of grievances,...and feats of strength." This was told the following season, but it still took place in the past, so it counts.
"Her dying word was my ATM code."
Bosco
"Oh also my fiance died from liking toxic envelopes i picked up. Thanks again" what an exit 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 everybody start crying 😆😆😆😆😆
I love how many story lines are based on real events. The Andrea Doria actually did happen.
It was quite a fire.
@@GigglingStoners shipwreck 🤣🤣
@@masteryoda394 I remember it.
@@GigglingStoners Actually, the Andrea Doria collided with the Stockholm in dense fog 21 miles off the coast of Nantucket.
@@GizmoMaltese 51 people died.
George Costanza is literally the most interesting and funniest character in the history of television.
Frank and Estelle thee best together. You just don't see this comedy on TV anymore.
Classic Constanza. I love that scene. 3:11
You can see it in many couples.
3:18 - Reminds me of how I was in a restaurant just last week and my Mom wouldn’t shut up about how nobody would shut the door to the place. 🤣
Eldredge knew he couldn't compete with that tale.
I what else george said to the apartment committee
He could see he was going down (pun totally intended!)
George has a point here he had a worse tragic life
“Have a hot dish”
The episode where George got caught with crib notes and got dumped by his girlfriend Nancy that was tragic. I felt sorry for George in that episode.
" it's not like it's the SAT's!"
“ I suffered for the past 30 years I’m doing including yesterday“ 😂😂
Where’s that breeze coming from 😂😂😂
**30 Seconds of continual fighting**
"George, whatya wanna know about your childhood?"
"Actually I'm pretty clear on it..." 🤣
How many people do you lose on a normal cruise? 30? 40?
Seinfeld (the series) expertly showed how a conversation can be derailed, by orders of magnitude, when participants go off on tangents or ask questions wholly unrelated to the initial premise: George is concerned about Andrea Doria; next thing you know we’re talking about Gordon Lightfoot. Same result happens in the episode at the car dealership repair office over Clark Bars and Baby Ruth’s: “A NICKEL!”
The Andrea Doria. That was quite the fire.
I wanna read ,, Astonishing tales of the sea” 😅😅😅
That is the kind of person George is people actually lost their lives but to him it ment nothing lol
There’s are billions just like him in reality, unfortunately 😞
But to turn this into something funny is genius
George laughing at 2:45 lol
1:56: George trying to TRIGGER his PTSD.😂
I love that George is about to leave and then remembers about his dead fiancé. Poor Lily…
This is one of the few episodes that George is in the right. The old man made his story out like he was a survivor of the Titanic when less then a fraction of the passengers died. The only real tragedy was for the friends and family of the people who died.
The only time George was right was when he did the opposite.
It began listing immediately. They couldn’t even use most of the lifeboats. I’d say you’re wrong.
Only people who use less than a fraction of their brain would use the term less thEn a fraction
wrong. PTSD is forever.
He somehow almost forgot the worst and biggest tragedy of his fiance? Lol
"I don't think I like you."
Harsh, but fair.
Cancelling George’s right to that apartment in legalese is called civil “cause of action” for breach of contract…
Just the this 5 mins of masterfully written clip, should be seen be every wannabe script writer!!!
The 3 on the apartment board crying! 😂
"significant shrinkage" 😭😭😭
Oh, I'll take a vet over an M.D. any day. They gotta be able to cure a lizard, a chicken, a pig, and a frog. All on the same day.
You learn about Kramer every new time
The hilarious part is after all of that, the other guy got it by paying 50 bucks to the super :D
I noticed he said “Stocky”
My favorite Seinfeld episode!
Legendary writing! And legendary Costanza! Also plug for Kramer's "Astounding Bear Attacks!" :)
And the Gordon Lightfoot😂
Until he went to go get it, I thought Kramer meant he wrote a book about the sea.
Astonishingly, I have never seen this Seinfeld story. I’m stunned.
genius episode once again hahaha
Significant shrinkage 😂
Maybe I should do that for my job interview coming up.
The astonishing tales of Costanza.....🤣🤣🤣
The Stockholm may not have sunk you but I will 😆
The Stockholm may not have got you, but the Costanza sank you like a brick Eldridge!
🤣🤣🤣
