BRITISH INDOOR KARTING CHAMPIONSHIP - 2021 LIGHTWEIGHT FINAL

Going into this event I did a public session around the week before. It was in the old karts and I'll be honest, they did not feel that great! So it was all about trying to adapt to the new karts in the practice during the event. The new karts felt great to drive, credit to TeamSport as I thought the parity overall was excellent. The tyres were a lot grippier in comparison to the old karts and the fleet that was used for BIKC 2020, so that threw me off for awhile, as certain techniques I used for some corners no longer worked.
I had a good run in the heats, with a:
P4 - P1
P10 - P4
P9 - P2 - should have been P1 but I made my move on the lap of the red flag, so race result was taken from the previous lap.
Semi final I had a good race finishing P1, setting a very slightly faster lap than Zac (winner of other semi final), which meant I started P1 in the final.
The final was a great race and a test of hand strength - battling for the win with Zac just like the 2020 final.
Had a great time at this event and enjoyed having another super battle in the final, credits to Zac for pushing me hard and doing so well once again and to Harris for a brilliant P3, who impressed too. I was impressed with the pace from a lot of drivers at this event, definitely the expected step up from last year!

My only flex is that i raced in the first BIKC. Amazing race Dante !!! My heart was pounding watching this race. Congrats on the second title !

Great driving from all drivers ,but Harris Ahmed was class ,driver in 2 nd place should have got a penalty on Harris there was contact .The overtake Harris made was class .
I agree that Harris did well. His move was quite straightforward due to my slight mistake, he just had to follow me through as Zac was on the outside and couldn't cover Harris off as I was in the way, nonetheless he still had to put himself in that position, they had a good battle :)

impressive as always dude, hopefully Club 100 sets you up for bigger things cause you’re smashing it.
I done Warrington on Sunday in the heavyweights but never had a chance to practise beforehand so had to completely wing it sadly!
Just as a tip, how do you take turn 1 and the first right hander on the tarmac hairpins? Are you chucking it in or are you tapping the brakes? Couldn’t quite figure it out in time, especially cause the karts were incredibly bumpy!

Ahh this is quite the track to try and wing! Probably the most technical TeamSport track too!
For turn 1 I chuck it in hard, no brakes needed. For the first right hander on the tarmac hairpins, I tap the brakes and use steering at the same time to get good rotation into the corner, going quickly back on the power to maximise speed through the corner.

Ahaha I didn't want to risk too much just before the semi finals because my position was already enough, however, you were driving excellently and there was no easy way past, so good stuff Josh, keep it up :)

What does the (M) next to a few drivers mean
I think it's where some tracks (such as that driver's local) puts M next to their name to indicate they're a member. Obviously not too important here as everyone is a member!
