I Challenged Belgian Locals With NO Practice... It Went As Expected 🤣

While on a trip away in Belgium seeing friends and visiting Christmas markets, I could not say no to a competitive kart event at WorldKarts Kortrijk on their new layout and karts. Superb venue and always filled with talent. I jumped straight into an event with a 4 lap qualifying and then straight into Heat 1... followed by another two one shot qualis and two heats... here's how it went....
Heat 1: 00:00
Heat 2: 13:24
Heat 3: 18:42
I was pleased with the eventual pace in Heat 3 but would definitely benefit with a bit more seat time. 🤣

Karting Hot Pursuit Against SUPER GT!

Enjoy on the edge driving with Super GT at a soggy Buckmore. This stint wasn't the best driven one for me, but 2nd stint was considerably better once I'd adapted to the kart a bit more and changed up a few things. It was a great driver line up to end the Endurance season so it was positive to finish strong. Minimum weight limit of 85kg was in effect. More content to come soon. - Dante dantedhil...

Track a bit slippery for now which is quite normal for a new track. The whole last section from coming off the down ramp to last corner is pretty sick. Just because indoor tracks don't experience any rain, doesn't mean the conditions can't vary laptimes by many many seconds on a 30 second track.... This is also why you have to get very lucky with track conditions to set lap records. - Dante

A few small changes from last year, nice layout to drive. Nothing like these sort of tracks really in the UK so was difficult to adapt as a different style required to drive here, also no karts like these in the UK. Learnt a lot and definitely made progress (in my head at least!). Still a lot I could have done better in terms of lines and style which is obvious when watching back, but hopefully...

I did have a petrol lap on this channel but thought I'd upload one with electric karts (from a few months back) - noticeably more torque out of the low speed hairpins and especially up the ramp. Thanks to TeamSport for the invitation. I know there's been a lot of mixed feelings on electric karts, I myself will always prefer petrol, but Sodi electric karts were definitely some of the nicer ones to drive. As you can see I was absolutely rubbish when it was very slippery, more weight was definitely needed! Combat karts was cool aswell, anyone can win, doesn't matter how slow you are 😂 - D...

Not perfect but not terrible for the few laps I did do on my own. I did enjoy this track in the electric karts. That launchpad at the top of the ramp is a laugh. Lots of small details to gain time round here which is not visible just via the driving. I didn't enter BIKC 2023 but I did give the revamped track a go at least, thankyou TeamSport for sorting out the sessions, enjoyed it. - Dante
