  • Agility: Late Footwork in Contact - When looking to beat a defender we must create uncertainty in their decision making. We can then utilise this uncertainty to cause a "weak shoulder" that we can then attack. Once a "weak shoulder" has been created, it is rare a dominant tackle can be made. This will allow the ball carrier to either break the tackle completely or, at worst, get over the advantage line.
Key Pointers: Progression #1 - No Ball
    Attack defender square
Late 45deg step with outside leg
Quick plant with inside leg to square hips (needs to be down prior to contact)
Punch through cones as fast as possible
Key Pointers: Progression #2 - With Ball
    Same pointers as progression #1
    Transfer ball away from contact
Guard up with inside arm at contact point
