I had a below the knee amputation a little over 2 weeks ago and everyone says I’m doing exceptional but I’m definitely scared. I’m a 49 y/o female and I haven’t been able to really use t foot for years. I’m looking forward to getting my new leg. Hearing Amy’s story odd so inspiring and gives me hope. I was borderline suicidal at first but that only lasted a couple of days. I’m now really hopeful but I definitely have my moments. Thank you for this video!!! It helps me so much!!!

I understand girl! I'm 40yrs and had bbka three years ago ( and my left hand and middle finger of my right hand) and honestly I never learned to walk very well to begin with but I've been w/o prostetics since like Nov of last year ( plus I didn't even get my prostetics for almost a year after the amputations so I never got to get used to them) but I keep getting this bone infection so they have to keep going in and reamputating so my bodies never had a chance to get used to them, ( and honestly I a bit fat right now) so I'm terrified I'm to old and big to be starting from scratch like this ya know? I wouldn't say I'm suicidal, but I'm definitely hopeless feeling! I was already in chronic pain before all of this with a spinal fusion, and I just feel completely hopeless!

Wait, how were you able to wake up pain free?? Did you have a nerve block or did I miss something? LOL The pain I experienced was the WORST pain I’ve ever experienced in my life and I’ve had quite a few surgeries.
