Thanks for your videos guys! Very informative. The eatery looks small comparing to the ratio of passengers for this ship. Our voyage is sold out, so I am already dreading for the long lines at the buffet/MDR. So glad we booked the Reserve Collection cabins.
After Many Princess Cruises this Looks Like A Big Step Backwards From The Royal Class World Fresh Marketplace. I Also Didn’t See Any Tongs For The Bread or The Fruit. The Lay Out Also Looks Like It Will Contribute To Traffic Jams Of People When Busy. I’m Hoping The Food Selections ,Choices And Quality Improve. Too Many Pre Made Items. This Was Probably Done To Expedite Food Service. Just Our Perspective. Great Video Thank You For Sharing
Thank you posting this. To me, this looks inferior to the Royal class ships. 1) I generally prefer having the option to serve myself at a buffet. 2) The selections looks less varied than on Royal Class.
Totally agree. The variety is definitely less and also note the amount of carbs use in the selections offered (i.e. cost cutting w/ cheaper ingredients).
Thanks for the tour! Very happy to see the buffet is no longer self serve. I've been convinced for a long time that the noro outbreaks on ships are almost always caused by many people handing the same serving spoon, etc. We'll be on the Sun soon and this preview is very helpful.
Thanks for the reviews. Keep them coming. The Eatery looks frustrating and closed in, maybe even tight in space. Can't imagine this space on a sold-out Caribbean cruise. Compare this space to the buffet on Celebrity's new ships and it is way behind. I think this concept works well on HAL because of the mid-size ship. It will be interesting to see the long-term reviews.
Eatery appears to be tight. On other Princess ships the buffets are on the Lido deck and spans the entire width/beam of the ship. This buffet looks like its sharing the beam with an outdoor dinning promenade space. Also, this is giving cafeteria vibes as you can't grab your own food like a traditional buffet. It looks like you have to stand in line to be served. This is what happens when guest don't use the hand washing stations, we lose our grab and go privileges at the buffet 🙁
Wow, the food looks amazing! And there's so many choices! I worked on a cruise ship before and our buffet was not nearly as big! And I for one am very happy to see everything is served to you. I've seen so many people do nasty things at buffets so this is comforting. I can't wait til I'm on this ship in a few weeks😊
I like the staff serving for sanitary reasons and the outdoor seating is great. I don't like the location of it, especially so close to the International Cafe. I also don't see much for those that are vegan or gluten free. I've seen good dining room menus for the Sun but the buffet seems to be lacking. My daughter has mobility issues so it will be challenging with them having things on multiple plates.
The desserts look amazing! I was on Sky Princess last week and there was no where near that variety. Two types of brownies, two types of cookies and a few other ‘meh’ options.
Even pre-COVID, I wasn’t crazy about buffets. Too many people are allergic to washing their hands, or don’t know how to cut down on spreading germs. I love the idea of the staff serving people in the buffet lines, but it seems like Princess needs to do more to make it efficient.
Fantastic informative video. One question. Did you notice any childens eating stations? I am taking my fussy 7 year old. Hates anything with sauce so it's a bit like chicken nuggets, pizza and chips we need haha. Thank you
Are all 3 of the food stations repeats of the same offerings or do you have to go to each of them to get the widest selection? I like the idea of them serving, makes a much cleaner area overall, less food contamination, probably saves on a lot of food waste, and will help me control my sometimes overindulgence, just because it is there.
Thank you for sharing. The buffet looks so disappointing. The food selection looks like a downgrade (quantity and quality) compared to the Royal Class ships (especially if they don't change the options each day as some other youtube posters have commented on the debut sailing). Not enough workers serving food to speed up the line chaos. Poor design and obviously created to save $ than improved the buffet experience for the passengers. Is it true you can't get your own drinks and you have to rely on the servers?? If so, absolute disaster when crowded.
Thanks for sharing! Food looks good.

If you look at the deck plan, you will see it is almost half of the ship's length.

Pre-made items are designed for cost-cutting reasons.
Thank you great overview. I'm so excited; we're set for July!!
I love this idea. On Holland we ate at the buffet more than any other ship because of this. I wish more ships/lines would do this.
Thank you posting this.

Excellent video.
Have always loved the hand washing station...first on The Royal Princess....sadly too many passengers don't use it.

Oh yum…..looks like food court at the mall.

You can have a crew member make you a special fruit plate.

All have different offerings. Each side of the rectangle has multiple stations as well.
Didn't see a drink and coffee/tea station in the buffet. Heard they don't have any. Is that true?
No self serve drink station. You have to have a server bring you what you want. Can’t get drinks on your own even after the Eatery closes.
@@rexdillingerThanks for the reply. Good to know.
Sooo many Chinese there…. Must be super cheap first cruise….. excellent videos and tour as always. Thanks
I've watched a few videos about the new Eatery, and nobody explained how you get simple drinks like coffee, juice, milk, tea, water.
Servers bring them to you.
@@rexdillinger DO you know if you can get your own drinks in the evenings after the buffet closes for the night?
@@Leo-lp4zh I do not know. Sorry.
How formal night
