Okra Plant Growing Time Lapse - Seed to Pod (115 Days)

Time-lapse of planting an okra from a seed to harvest-able pods. The okra seed was sowed under potting mix soil in a 10-inch container indoor. It took over a week to sprout. The seedling was growing fast, and soon turning to a young plant with larger leaves.
After 40 days, you could see many flower buds near the tree top. Unfortunately, those couldn't bloom fully. Instead, they wilted and dropped down due to lack of pollination. We have tried various methods, but none of them seemed to work. Till we lightly tapped the unfully-opened flowers, few of them turned to pods magically. They grew quickly and reach 4-5 inches size within a few days and ready to harvest.

Thank you so much for this, so beautiful I felt like I was in another dimension being able to watch my okra from seed through last summer in the garden, all in just a few moments. It is such a generous plant and gave me so many meals of okra masala, I wanted it to overwinter here in Southern California but it did not make it. But it gave me many seeds for this year. The miracle of the okra life!

What soil or Potting mix do you use? Surely its high in Nitrogen since Mushrooms grow as well. The same as with your previous videios.

The pot is too small and it’s not getting enough light. Needs to be at least 10 gallons for one plant. They naturally grow in the equator.

Plants fruit early to guarantee reproduction before they die. In a 1-inch they’ll get root bound easily and trigger the fruiting before death.
