Marion- These recipes look absolutely sensational. If they are as good as your 5-Spice & Orange Turkey Roll With Onion Gravy (the 1st recipe of yours that I made, & the first turkey I made that I actually ate & enjoyed- LOL), I will be eating like a queen. Thank you so much.
Holy Smoke, I really love your enthusiasm. Your love of food is contagious, fun, and delicious. A recipe for a happy kitchen/cook. Thank you, Marion and Noi for another year of fun-filled recipes.Merry Christmas and many blessings in 2024. 🎄😃
Thank you so much, Marion! I made the 5 Spice Cherry Rum Glazed Ham, and the Gingernut Veggies. Wow!! Wishing you and yours all the best of the Holiday Season ❤️🎄

Watching from Hobart Tasmania. I've printed out the recipes I want for my family Christmas dinner. I've got my shopping list all written down... it looks like a lot on the list but probably not. I love it.. so much to cook & get ready for our big day. Thank you so much Marion - truly grateful. 🎄🎆🎉🎅🤶HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.🎄🥂🎊
Marion, you are absolutely great..the way you explain everything clearly I love all the Christmas recipe spread, I love them all. While I'm watching you cooking,my mouth watering. It's make me really hungry. Thankyou so much for sharing your idea of Christmas dinner. We wish you and your family great Christmas.
i loved this video. I have both of your cookbooks and your mother's too. Awesome cookbooks. If I win it I will give it as a gift for a friend who loves to cook as much as I do. Growing up we served dishes at and Thanksgiving and Christmas that we didn't serve any other time. My mother and now me are known for our dressing. I'm from Kentucky, Stuffing you put in the bird, dressing you bake outside of the bird. We cook dressing. Our Menu is Country Ham, a Kentucky delicacy, turkey, corn bread dressing, creamed peas with mushrooms. My mother prepared twice baked potatoes before they were cool. Bake the potatoes, scoop out the insides and mash, put back inside and top with sliced american cheese, put back in the oven. Wild rice casserole, broccoli casserole, cranberry sauce, 24 hour snow salad, gravy, sweet potato casserole, celery stuffed with cheddar cheese and pecan spread, homemade yeast rolls, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, fruitcake and egg nog.
Christmas is any time of year for me. These recipes represent very well-flavored meats, marinades, sauces, and sides. I love every one of them, although I would prefer less sugar and more syrups or molasses, like date and pomegranate.
This video is amazing 😍 I was looking for recipes that incorporated asian elements and ingredients!! Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into this 😭 Merry Christmas Marion!!
@@detoxifyingemily100 love your name by the way. The problem with duck at home is it’s very gamey and greasy tasting too. I love duck but can seem to get it right.
Hay Marion, really enjoying the video this morning! Definitely going to try the 5-spice Pork belly (might even throw it on the smoker for awhile before baking). Also the kimchi puffs must be a winner, im slowly getting my wife to like kimchi hahah I think the cheese and pastry might be the final push!! Anyways heres my Holiday lineup ! I would love a cookbook. I actually asked Santa for your wok this year so here hoping *fingers crossed* We live on Vancouver island, British Columbia, Canada , so we have fresh caught Salmon, Tuna, Spot prawns, crab and oysters. 1- Appies: all day snacking pretty much. Mini quiche, sausage rolls, smoked albacore tuna loin and smoked salmon pate (both homemade) with crackers and cheese plus common Charcuterie favorites. Adding any other seafood we have on hand, usually Curried spot prawns is a favorite! plus homemade crab stuffed mushroom caps. 2- Main course: Montreal spiced Prime Rib stuffed with garlic cloves w/ red wine au jus (no one ever says wheres the Turkey? when the rib comes out of the oven) 3-Sides are candied marshmellow yams (dinner, dessert you can eat it for both hah!) plus pancetta brussel sprouts with walnuts and balsamic drizzle (delish!) and of course yorkshire pudding and garlic mashed potatoes! 4- Dessert is my wifes making shes mastered apple crisp with vanilla bean ice cream. And of course pumpkin pie. Traditional? maybe? anyways its wonderful and everyone is usually on the couch moaning by the end! -Thanks , Matthew H ps: love your ramen recipes we have made birria and the corn one!
Makes me hungry and will try all these yummy foodies, Marion do you have a spicy green papaya salad recipe, I tasted it when we went to Florida, it’s sooo good that I’m hooked 😂
A word of caution with the mashed potato's if you over work the potato's the become gummy. When we make mash we use a block of frozen butter and grate it into grated cheese to reduce the amount of whipping needed. As an FYI we try to buy cases of butter whe it is on offer and freeze them, salted butter for upto 12 months, unsalted butter for upto 6 months. Also it maybe worth considering making large batches of the basic meat and sauce it takes longer upfront and freezing/canning it in portions, saves alot of time later not to mention electicity or gas later. you can then add Thai/Indian/German flavours later to your wants and needs. Have a merry Christmas and a Happy New year. Take care, God bless one and all.
He did not wash the rice , wash the rice prior , use 3,5 cups of water instead of 4 .Ive made this dish plenty of times in a proper ZOJIRUSHI rice cooker , the rice takes 1 hour to cook . I use jasmine rice .
Its just too much! Can you share how you plan on what to buy & how you prepare? Which to cook 1st so you won't run out of ingredients? Do you need super kitchen or 7 kitchen?
I honestly don’t use soy sauce anymore- once I discovered tamari about 10 years ago, and found that it has a richer flavour, I can’t really go back to just salty soy sauce.
Agree about the run-of-the-mill supermarket soysouces. I have found some brewed soy sauces at Asian supermarkets that are much more complex and richer in flavor. They cost a bit more, but we'll worth it!
This is why we all love you, for your incredible talent of fusing cultures together as well as straight up Thai!

What’s tamari
Your gravy looks very tasty but it is too thin. If it filters through the rice it is a fail. Really like your recipes.
That’s because she put it in the fridge after adding the cornflour slurry, it loses its thickening power when cooled
@@tomholloway7566wow: I did not know that!
That is too much 5 spice
