Fascinating video, thanks so much! I have never tried the Superblast myself but have only heard great things and am looking forward to getting a pair one day!! I bought a cheap pair of Hoka Rocket X2 online and am truly worried they're fake though I've got nothing to compare them to unfortunately, haven't even taken them for a run yet, so hopefully some nice person will make a video one day!! For 18 months I was an English teacher in the province of China where 80% of Chinese shoes are produced. We visited factories where they would reproduce any shoe you wanted, any brand, and swore black and blue they were JUST as good as the original at about 1% of the price, if you bought a container load of them at a time of course!! Many local businessmen wanted to take us to visit factories and tried to talk us into doing business with them.🤷‍♀

I found Superblasts on Ebay for much cheaper than the online running stores and Amazon, $165 vs $200. Asics, Amazon and the stores all had very limited colors but the vendor on Ebay had a colorway that my son liked, he likes green. I ordered them from Japan and had a wait a bit to get them but after checking all of your spots I can confirm they're the real deal. Thankfully.

I also bought from an eBay seller in Japan and hated my pair after 40km and sold them. I'm a really heavy (100kg) and slow runner 5mims/km though and love Nimbus 25 (retired 3 pairs). Hate the universal praise for these shoes. Prime X Strung 2.0 on the way as my next most expensive pair!

Back in the day when Nike Vaporfly 1&2 were super hard to get I bought a couple pairs on eBay that were fakes.
I bought maybe 5 different pairs over a couple years and 2 were fakes. They looked EXACTLY the same to smsllest details but neither fakes had a carbon plate in the sole. You could bend them in half super easy like all non-plated shoes.
I contacted both sellers and said either refund all my money but $50 cuz that’s about what they are worth to me (i actually liked them both but not for running) or I would turn them in to eBay and Nike. They did return my money.

@@saudalshurooqy2725 the midsole of real Superblast has two colors, with two types of material: "ff blast plus" and "ff blast turbo", if you look close you can see a clear edge. • @iljarukin5887

the most obvious difference is the ff turbo foam. You can see it through the bottom of the shoe unpainted. In the original it has a yellow tint, whereas the fake has a white-ish foam.

The issue here was the chinese's ability to imitate these designs manufactured in their hometown... Why? Because the majority of our footwear are now manufactured in the East, specifically china. This was due to compensation for the inexpensive labor force. After being given the opportunity to reproduce those blueprints provided by these footwear firms like (HOKA, NIKE, ASICS, NEW BALANCE, SAUCONY, BROOKS, MIZUNO, ON, ALTRA, UNDER ARMOR, ADIDAS, REEBOK & PUMA, underground (illegal), unofficial or unregistered chinese manufacturers replicate these designs for profit and they primarily use localized and subpar raw materials to sell these products. Sigh..., such a shame! 😠 There are only two brands I know that were not officially manufactured in china namely: KARHU (Finland) & DIADORA (Italy). A business associate press from Kaohsiung, Taiwan revealed this hard fact

Hello my friend. Just to let you know I bought a pair of Superblasts which were a bit cheaper than the original ones. Your video managed to help me in discovering that they were indeed fake so I'm getting my reimbursement now from the seller! Thanks 🙏
One additional thing I would like to add: On mine the ref number inside was not "1013a127" (superblast code), it was "1011b215" which is the ref for the metaspeed sky.
