That first drop is likely the single best element on any roller coaster. They way the seats swivel to suddenly face you to the ground just as you're starting to fall is amazing. I love that drop.
too many amazing elements to truly quantify that (treble clef, mosasaurs roll, rolling thunder hill, steve outberank, montu batwing, quad down, etc etc etc) but its definitelyway up there
First drop and Raven's turn are unparalleled. It's an AGGRESSIVE and FORCEFUL ride. Absolute monster. I'm a 55 year old enthusiast. Been on lots of coasters all over the world. X2 remains my favorite coaster in the U.S. Thank you again, Alan Schilke. You are indeed "tha man".
Still can't believe we were here. It's like a hazy memory. My brother sat next to my dad on this and always reminds me of how maniacally our father laughed out of sheer fear down that first drop. Makes me laugh every time just imagining it.
I've been on ALOT of roller coaster all over the country... This was by far the SCARIEST and one of the two post painful roller coasters I've ever been on.
Love/hate relationship with this coaster. So fun, yet I’ve hit my head so hard on the headrest that I got to experience that numb baby-concussion like feeling. 😅
I did not get to ride this on my last visit as it was a 3 hour wait for the whole day. I did get to ride it like 4 years ago and it is an absolute beast of a coaster
I've ridden both X2 and Eejanaika and I think X2 is better because Eejanaika is a bit too intense. Also that first drop, when it faces you straight down is phenomenal.
@@triple7marc lol yeah total bummer. When I first started riding it back in 2014 it wasn’t that bad. But last time I rode it a couple years ago it was rough and I hit my head. Pretty janky. Shame as it’s a great ride otherwise.
Yeah it’s definitely gotten rough, but its awesome and not to bad if you know where the roughness is and brace for it. The big spots are the bottom of the raven turns (Last one is by far the roughest) and the two flips that flip the car back upright (Idk what those are called sorry)
Yep. Strap my body in insane positions onto gigantic metal machines along with about thirty other people, fling us around at break-neck speeds and ya know, just have fun with us. Yep.
How do you guys not get freaking smashed in the back of ur head on the final turn? It's the main thing that keeps me from going back on X2 but I wish I could love it more
I wish now more than ever that Cedar Fair owned Magic Mountain. The state of the six flags company and the way the don’t want to keep the rides on top shape is a tragedy. X2 is one example of a great ride owned my a terrible company. If the Six Flags C.E.O doesn’t check himself, he could say goodbye to Magic Mountain.
I thought X2 was the most overrated coaster I've ridden. The drop was insane, but the rest of the ride felt super slow, the direction switches were boring, and it just felt like you were rocking back and forth.
Couldn't agree more. It has like 6 elements, and while the first drop is insane, and the backflip hill is cool, the rest of the elements are slow and boring. I have no issues with the roughness, in fact I think it adds to the experience, but the majority of x2 feels slow and boring.

And then it drops you on your head right at the bottom of the first drop. Crazy stuff!

The only time I've genuinely screamed/feared for my life on a coaster.
Top tier coaster. That first drop is everything!!
Not a lot of coasters scare me but when I rode this for the first time I felt my heart racing.

4D coaster is truly a concept ahead of its time.
That front seat face down first drop is killer.

I’ve wanted to go on this so bad it looks absolutely nuts
Go on it bro it's scary at first but its alot of fun
💖X2 Forever💖
Very cool to have different music with these off rides.

Still my #1
Yup. Ditto. The best.

One of the only roller coaster that shakes me to the bone 😅
No words to describe riding it..... was banananas
Great footage, Taylor.
Superb ❤
Are we getting a re-review for this beauty? Probably gonna be a lot different compared to the old review.
What is the music please ?

My dad love that ride
“I give it X2 a 5 out of 10.” -Taylor, X2 review
If it's called a 4d coaster and time is the 4th dimension, does that mean I can go back in time to ride this?
Is it still rough? I recall this ride getting worse over the years.
It will brutalize you lol

It's rough -- but only if you're a wussy. It's an AGRESSIVE, ANGRY ride. Worth the punishment. Because it effing rules.
@@SANITIZEDINC I’m a wussy. I prefer rides that don’t give me a headache. Twisted colossus is better
I am still so bummed. I flew over from Germany to visit Six Flags and X2 was closed on the day we visited. Meh :P Tatsu was great tho..
The controlled spins look so jerky though, especially on the first drop
It looks worse than it actually feels.
They are but it isn't too uncomfortable, outside the last raven turn
Sit on the inside you will be fine

look! Its aero's coffin!!
I want to see Sarah reaction when she rides it
It’s in their recent magic mountain vlog
Spoiler: She was speechless
I wonder if coasters like these might be more intense if the seats didn’t rotate at all. On X2, you’d be falling upside down on the first drop.
Great idea for a different ride. As it is, it's hard to beat.
How do you guys not get freaking smashed in the back of ur head on the final turn? It's the main thing that keeps me from going back on X2 but I wish I could love it more
Good old X2 The roller coaster that ended Aerodynamics
Arrow...
Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't X that did them in; it was sinking money into the fish hook before getting city approval

X2 is 4d and justice league is 2d. Welcome to tye Xtreme park!
This footage made me bust

I had a 100% opposite reaction than you. It's one of the most underrated coasters in the country.
If you rode it for the first time on an outside seat, I understand
@@hellothere6991 I rode it in the second to back row, inside seat.
I went in with high expectations of x2 but came off wishing I never rode because of how rough it was. My head was literally bouncing off the seat
Most overrated ride of the century
Speak for yourself.

Completely 100% disagree, Buld. X2 rules. I would argue it is one of the most underrated coasters. Nothing beats the king. X2.
