I recall going from Clearlake all around the lake with a stop in Lucerne to stay with my friend Rich Kidder that night and back to Clearlake ,the next morning by mountain bike ,a real great ride ,beautiful scenery and people 2010 - present
The drive passes along the northern shore of Clear Lake on Highway 20. It is indeed in Lake County. Clearlake is a town not far to the south of the start of this drive.
I've ridden my bicycle on this road, but it's better if you head on CA-20 eastbound from Upper Lake. For an entire hour, (26 minutes if you're driving) you're as close to the lake as you can get. The same day I went on that ride, I also caught the sunrise over the lake just outside of Kelseyville at 5:30 a.m. Just beautiful.

Brings back a lot of memories grew up all around that area from 71-85
Awesome to see this again, we use to go up and stay at Jules resort in the spring for a week from late 60's to mid 70's Great memories.
My Daughter and I have a nice ride around Clearlake almost every night.

Bigfoot roamed among the vineyard equipment at night when they were building them. Also seen near Clearlake Oaks. We got Sabe.
Clear Lake is the name of the lake and one city, but the drive is actually through lake county :) love seeing my hometown!
