I was in Carson City Nv twice this past year. Travelled from the UK. Absolutely loved it. A wonderful place and amazing surroundings like lake Tahoe and Virginia city.

I've taken this same drive to the Sac Airport a number of times. I have relatives in South Sac and Elk Grove, so they're driven me to the Airport.

This drive is downtown and downtown although somewhat resurrected with Janet Leigh plaza and the ice rink and ballpark is certainly not how you wanna show off Stockton

I lived in Redding for 30 years and moved away when it became the homeless capital of Northern California. I didn’t feel safe out in the evenings any longer. My home and cars were burglarized a couple times and it’s hot AF in the summer.

I spent a good share of my Navy career on TI. In 1966, after a rate conversion from Shipserviceman SH to Electronics Technician ET, I spent 52 weeks in Electronics Technician "A" School on the Island. In 1968-69 I attended Advanced Electronics Technician "B" School for 48 weeks on the Island and then remained at the school as an instructor for the next 4 years. My family and I moved into Navy housing on the Island around 1970. We moved into a brand new 3-Br unit on Bayside Drive. My daughter was born at Oak Knoll Naval Hospital while residing on the Island. Fortunately, my kids were able to attend elementary school on the Island since we lived in the new housing section, the old housing section kids were bussed into SF schools at the time. We also remained in housing on TI when I was accepted into the Associate Degree Completion Program ADCOP and carpooled with 4 other island-dwelling shipmates down to Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, CA. We finally moved from the Island during the summer of 1975 to the east coast for submarine duty. We loved living on the Island, we would launch our boat and fish for stripers around the Island. It could get chilly though, as the wind would blow a lot and the temps would be about 10 degrees cooler than SF. CWO4 USN Ret.

Didn't show front street or 3rd st where the business's still are. A lot has changed there. The major business's has spread out. Need narration to explain the different areas of town. Some of that area along the beach going to pebble beach was my dad's postal route.

So that's what homesickness feels like...

I lived in dead bluff for 15 yrs....around 1999 to 2015....left for southern Cali..when I lived their on main Street was a large beautiful park green grass and the Sacramento River flowing right next to park...boat ramp ...city pool...was very nice.then they let the water stop flowing thru cuz of fish endangerment.a friend still lives their the homeless have taken the park over and the river bed...no more pool...green grass now all dirt...so sad I left just in time.

Wow I don't remember that road work at all. Off ramp toward downtown. I just got a wild hair to look up my lifelong hometown. KSBW doesn't want controversial commentary on their videos apparently, so I landed here. Probably smart of them. This is weird, watching in 1st person, but not.

The nice trashed pothole filled roads of Hayward

This brings back so many memories. I am a 3rd generation Mercedian, (71 y.o.) and I left the area in 1980 with a few trips back. Am amazed at how many of the buildings I can still recognize. So glad that the wonderful TIOGA has been upgraded, and of course the magical MERCED THEATRE.

Raised in Hayward and move to just about everywhere you can imagine along the west coast. Settled in The Sacramento area for 12 years then some unfortunate events bring me back to Hayward. Retiring soon and selling my house and can’t wait to get out of California

I lived on Georgia Street in Vallejo for a dozen years. Was burglarized six times. One of my neighbors was murdered during a burglary. Crime was a team sport in V-Town.

Thank you for uploading the video. I love Carson City. Moved here at age 5 in 1976-1982. Then moved back from 2021-2022 to flip my parents rental. I remember as a kid going to the Silver City Mall and shopping at Skaggs or Kmart, grabbing breakfast at Hobo Joes or eating lunch at Hot Dog City. Occasionally watched a movie at the drive-in near Jacks Valley Rd or played video games at the bowling alley near Ross Gold Park while my parents bowled. Walked to Seeliger elementary and played in the snow with friends. Great memories.

Tracy sucks it’s a small town with nothing new it’s a run down town and has nothing to offer and the malls sucks I wish I could move
