I don't think it has the same appeal as 'All The Right Reasons' or 'Silver Side Up', but I listen to this song and think of it as burning a lot of negative thoughts in my life and be myself with what I already have as a person. It was my 12th birthday present from my great aunt in Ohio.
I guess they're hated because they can play so damn heavy but prefer to play mostly pop rock, but I see the point on that, that's how you sell 50 million albums worldwide.

You can definitely tell it's not being lip synched just after listening to the actual studio recording. There's obviously a few instruments playing through separate speakers but they aren't lip synching.
I'm actually curious to why you think they're lip syncing... is it because he sounds really good or because you think his mouth doesn't match up with the vocals in time? They're not lip syncing. Chad is a really great singer with great vocal technique, although he's not as good as he once was, he's still great and beats other rock and metal vocalists hands down. If you just watch the performance again, you can see he's singing live. It's obvious. Ryan on guitar and Daniel on drums are doing the backing harmonies. There are pre-recorded tracks in this though. Such as the odd backing vocal sung by Chad in the chorus, that can't really be done live without another singer. There are also sounds such as keys / synths in the chorus to beef it up a bit more. They actually seemed too loud to me, which overpowered the guitars. There's also an acoustic guitar backing track. They'd need to get a 3rd guitarist in to do this live. There's no harm in it, and trust me the majority of your 'Metal' bands will be using plenty of backing tracks live.
His vocal performance is very flat on several notes, so if that's a track, it kinda defeats the purpose. Having said that, it does sound like there are some tracks being played back here. Ex: one note lead guitar at 4:13, the vocal swell at 4:24 and the choral backing vox sound that start after that.
He is not lying, the well has really ran dry. This band did a Bon Jovi to their career. They could of went more heavy metal innovative style but instead. They choice a country pop rock bullshit

Yeah to be honest they're all really solid at playing. They're never sloppy and always put on a tight performance. Chad is a perfectionist :)
