    Surprisingly nobody has asked this yet. Can you timestamp the sections of the song that you and H-Mister worked on?

    • @nu11_ft
      @nu11_ft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Ok, so it's kinda like this:
      me: everything from the 0:00 to 0:48
      H-Mister: 0:48 to 1:04
      me and H-Mister together: 1:04 to 1:20 (i used his chord parts and added melody and drums on top)
      me: 1:20 to 2:19
      H-Mister: 2:19 to 2:34
      me: 2:34 to 3:38
      H-Mister: 3:38 to 3:55
      me: 3:55 to 4:10
      H-Mister: 4:10 to 4:41
      me 4:41 to 4:47
      H-Mister 4:47 to 4:58
      me: 4:58 to 5:10
      me and H-Mister together: 5:10 to the very end
      I also edited most of his parts to fit better within the song, while also trying to write mine in a similar way to his so they wouldn't clash (almost). The song may feel like a medley, because i had no vision in my head of how i wanted everything to be, i just followed through and wrote some parts based on what he did. About 90% of instruments in that module are mine, and i was working on drum parts as well.
      H-Mister was the one who started this whole collaboration, so without him and his help this song wouldn't exist.

      @@nu11_ft Now that I think about it that way, it does seem like a medley, but it's still really good, especially because I can relate to it. I often hum tunes to myself and they usually sound similar to this song because they go on without me thinking of what came before and just going along with it, so there's little to no repetition. It also explains why whenever I hum this song, I end up losing track of how it goes and improvising. Knowing this makes me appreciate the song in an entirely new light, and a great deal more than I used to. You and H-Mister both did an amazing job and I encourage you to keep writing stuff that gets stuck in my head.
      Also there are a lot more sections where you switched with each other than I originally anticipated

    Someday we'll look back and remember when this guy only had 200 likes.
    Maybe it will be after he composes for a mega-hit indie game, or goes on tour with Rainbowdragoneyes, or gets a recommendation from Virt or Chipzel, but this shit is going to happen.

      Honestly, I wouldn't hope for getting more exposition any time soon. I haven't composed anything in a long time, and my latest attempt to make an original song is still in early making.

    Can we run these songs on the N8 everdrive? I'm sure if we code the FPGA to make use of these expansion audio chips it is possible.

    • @nu11_ft
      @nu11_ft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know anything about N8, but what you hear in Famitracker will sound very different on emulator/real hardware when it comes to multiple expansion chips at once, especially chips like FDS and N163.
      Volume balance and emulation differences are a big factor. My songs that utilize many chips at once sound like ass on nsfplay, unless you're going to change the volume of some channels in the mixer, apu 2 in particular for example.
