Was in London and watched the 3008 from there. Pamela won every race by a country mile and of course won the gold in the finals. She was the Bolt of the women's. I can only imagine the race we could have witnessed between Pamela Jelimo and Athing Mu should they have been in same era. Cracking!
@@chicnoir29 this was in 2008. In 1996 she got bronze, She won the gold in 2000, got 4th in 2004 and in 2008, did her best and got 6th. Rarely will you see an 800m runner run this number of yrs. So I was speaking as of 2008, she was still racing and she was retiring that year.

@@mykillshots664 - Oh thanks for clarification. The 800 is a very hard event. One of the most difficult in T&F. Bravo for Mutola making five finals.
If Pamela was legit, she must surely be the greatest talent women's 800m as ever seen.
She was actually legit. She just wasn't interested in sports like that. Did it as a hobby.
I think athing mu can be the next best 800m runner. Just needs time.
