First off, love the video, love the excitement, it's so great to see a wide swath of the Fandom, please never lose the energy.
Second, I'm a 45 yearly nerdy white dude and am beyond excited to find a content creator who isn't old, white and grumpy. Breath of fresh air here, will be watching...

@theebonyotaku7812 you're very welcome, I got myself a Generation one Hot Rod reissue last summer at BOTcon Toronto along with a Beachcomber, Bluestreak and Powerglide, so seeing your Hot Rod video was really sweet!

Don't you just LOVE it when things ship quicker than you expected? Loved your point about Hot Rod / Captain Kirk, brilliant. Ah, now there is a scene I hadn't thought about in so long...Sharktacons! Beautiful figure, I am so impressed by all the detail they put into it. That die-cast Matrix looks like jewelry. Oh, and Wrath of Khan will always be my favorite.

This is by far my favorite transformer. He is so well made, and the molding is absolutely pristine. Plus they captured one of the best moments from the original movie. It's so great when the creators really put thought into these things for the fans

Hey, you didn't turn a backflip!!! I feel cheated, that's it, I'm staging a revolt!!! BACKFLIP or I'm gonna spin circles on the floor, kick and throw my arms and yell as loud as I can!!!
OK, I'm not gonna do that, the cat would attack me. 🤣

    • ...wait, you haven't seen the Masterpiece Hot Rod until now? Strange...don't you have like the Takara MP9 Rodimus Convoy or Hasbro's bastardized Masterpiece Rodimus Prime?
    • Yeeeaaahhh, most MP figures were strictly Takara. The Japanese side of Transformers. Also the OG peeps behind Beyblade. Hasbro Masterpiece figures had completely different packaging, and they didn't bother to do nearly as many. (Nowadays, Hasbro via Hasbro Pulse just sells the Takara MPs, which is really the only way they got back into it)
    • Japan had different names for *A LOT* of the G1 folks. Examples: Convoy (Optimus Prime), Lambor (Sideswipe), Streak (Bluestreak), Hot Rodimus (Hot Rod), Rodimus Convoy (Rodimus Prime), Bumble (Bumblebee), Char (Kup), Megazarak (Scorponok), etc. No, that AIN'T all the name changes. 😮😱🤯
    • If you think this one was cool, you should see MP40 Targetmaster Hot Rodimus: he lacks almost ALL the MP28 accessories, but, he comes with Firebolt (a repaint of Hasbro's Firebolt/Offshoot that they made to replace the trailer for Rodimus Prime). The big thing is that Hot Rod is colored based on his appearance in "The Rebirth" three-parter that was US G1 season 4/series finale. That's right, it's the Revenge of Studio AKOM. 🤣🤣🤣 (The only other accessory he has is that first gun you held up, seemingly molded in or painted the same burgundy as Hot Rod...which seems more like a nod to the Marvel G1 comics...)
    • That Matrix is diecast, and is the same mold as the one from MP10 Optimus Prime 2.0; also, because it's a little smaller, the newer Matrix mold from MP44 Optimus Prime 3.0 also fits in there.
    • I know you're so excited and you just can't hide it, but take it easy and slowly!! 😎😎😏😏 From my experience with my MP40, this mofo is basically the G1 Hot Rod with extra steps. And there's others who are like that: the Datsuns (Prowl, Bluestreak, Smokescreen, and all the repaints), the Honda Cities (Skids, Reboost, Burnout (the MP is oddly called Diaburnout), Crosscut, etc.)...they're literally the G1 toys with extra steps!!
    • And I warn you now, those hands *ARE NOT GOOD*. At all. Mans absosmurfinlutely SUCKS at holding his guns, the tabs that slot into his palms are probably too wide to close his fingers around the gun handles and stay in place correctly. He ain't the only one who has that issue; the Lambos (Sideswipe, Red Alert, and all them repaints thereof) and the Vanettes (Ironhide, Ratchet, and their repaints) also have that issue.
    • ...you forgot to rotate the spoiler around, you forgot to fold down the orange flaps at the sides of his head that make his shoulders, there's basically quite a few steps you missed. And that's okay!! You live and learn. 😎
    • The "Tomy" is pronounced "tōh•mē". Tomy used to be another toy company back in the day, Takara acquired them in the early 2000s or so. (Branding examples: the white box with black kanji for "Takara" was the logo throughout the entire first generation of Beyblade in Japan; despite this, Takara's current Takara Tomy logo was present on MP1 Convoy in 2003...which would've been smack dab in the midst of the Japanese run of (Bakuten Shoot) Beyblade G Revolution. But remember, they used the previous Takara logo at least on Beyblade products all the way to MA24 Shining God Metal Sun, the last release of the Heavy Metal System and the first generation altogether, in 2005.

Takara Tomy is the original company that made transformers, before Hasbro licensed some of their toys and designs to make the transformers show we know and love.
