Yay! You are the reason why I started playing this game in 2.0, and i'm glad you're playing the 3.0. I've tried it myself for a bit and there's definitely a lot to unpack.
Portrait orientation means you can play it on mobile with your phone held vertically, rather than having to hold it sideways. It's a very nice feature; they add a big ol' dice box on top for you to roll in

Was definitely hoping you'd pick this up again after I saw the 3.0 release and super glad that you have! I started playing it again myself just a few weeks ago and I could definitely use learning some tips and tricks, and I love the way you break down strategy in this game and how and why it all works.
I like the way you tutorialize and note changes as we go; you're always a pleasure to listen to and you do such a great job keeping it interesting. I love the way you just go in on Hard and make it look easy, even though this game can be incredibly punishing. The way you work through and show such an understanding of use and consequence is really fantastic.
Slice & Dice has to be one of the best dice-roguelike ever made imo.

I will just say - it's an entirely valid tactic to just skip a teir 3 if both upgrades would be worse then your teir 2. Or try out the random upgrade button!

So to my understanding, with the Thief getting two choices of upgrades around 31:00, you will never be offered a tier 3 character advancement before all your characters are tier 2. Hence it defaults to the last remaining tier 1 twice when your other four party members are upgraded.
Not never but that is definitely the norm
Don’t have time to watch the full video right now, but I’m very happy to see more slice and dice. Love this game
One thing that might be worth pointing out, that I only recently learned, is that level ups happen at fixed points, regardless of how many characters you have (not including differences between modes), so if you can arrange to have only 1 character who can level, you can make them extremely silly. Like 80+ Cantrip silly and their HP is not a solid bar silly.

0:56 I guess this is mostly about Custom game mode. Where you can just paste a string and get a bunch of modifiers

13:42 > "The only thing that you can't undo is any randomized result."
But if either the heroes or the monsters get wiped out, the turn is immediately committed and cannot be undone. Something to watch out for.
Not quite immediately! At least for killing the monsters, you have a moment or two to hit undo if you want to change something.

Ah! When I saw the release I was wondering if you'd come back to it. Great game indeed, very fun and simple but deep. On one part I'm disappointed that the dev clearly didn't really keep a list of improvements they were doing as they kept developing v 3.0, so the patch notes are... ahem, they're what they are. But on the other hand I get to be surprised by all the new stuff as you discover it throughout the series so that'll be fun :)

Nope, it doesn't.
Watching sliCe and diCe on moBile the first time I NotiCed its made moBile first. Thats why all Buttons and the diCe are so Big. Too Big on pc but perfect on phone
6:33 for most enemies there is no benefit
