Then I submitted my application and explained that the purpose of uploading the video was to showcase my sound design. After that, the copyright owner agreed to allow me to publish the video, so I can release it.🙂
This is the best resound design I’ve ever heard. But I feel like it could still be better, so I’m going to make some critiques. I feel like Genoa’s lasers don’t sound fiery enough, since his powers are fire based. They shouldn’t Just sound like lasers or a loud boom. Also at 1:01 I felt like there could’ve been a little boom sound to give that part some impact. At 1:49 there should’ve been a sort of deactivation sound of his mega fire beam attack. And 1:59 the punch should sound like it’s in a empty long hallway. The echo is cool but the punch would feel right there in front of Genoa’s face. My final critique, I feel like when Genos activates his powers. It should kinda sound like there’s heat or fire since he’s pumping it all through out his body. Beside that, this was absolutely stunning. Keep up the good work 👍.
@@PLOTGAMER Main reason i prefer this one over yours is that it includes the whole fight with no cuts. I prefer the startup sound for incinerate you made, though the flamewave itself is way more impactful here. The fake punch also feels more impactful here. Your sound redesign was still the best i had seen, there's a reason i'm still subscribed to you. You both did an incredible job here, and i could probably nitpick which parts i prefer from both of your redesigns. While i'm here, could you make more one piece sound redesigns🥺? They were awesome dude!
probably the best sound redisegn of this fight! my congratz to you. since you already put allot of work, i will tell you what in my opinion you oculd improve, the 1:57 punch, should be your best part, where you should pull out something amazing, but its the worst part in your video. 0:40 its 2 shots, you sounded just 1. but i dont want to criticize you! you did a really amazing job!
Simply amazing! I'd love to know your process in these sounds! Did you create them yourself or source them from a library? If you created them yourself I'd LOVE to know how you did it!!!! I'm experimenting with this stuff myself and I'd love to know how the people at your skill level do this sorta thing!
Glad you like it! I did this redesign for quick practice so most of the sounds was from libraries, i edited and processed them to let them make sense to the picture and sounds better. And i think there is some knowledge could be helpful in creating your own sound effects such like foley recording, field recording, and some music production skills like mixing, synthesizer, etc. Sorry for my poor English, I'd love to discuss more about sound design
It's a tall ask, but would you be willing to make one change? I'd love it if the dynamic range were enhanced even further. As a sound designer, I'm sure you know that outside of sheer fidelity and choosing the right sounds and having sound complexity (no sound is made of of just a single or even two tones!) it's DYNAMIC RANGE that makes things sound powerful. The dynamic range in this is obviously more utilized than in most other similar edits, but it's still not quite there, considering the magnificent power on display. Anyway, amazing edit.
You absolutely right, I simply put a compressor which is a OTT on bus and i forgot why i did that, maybe just because i was too lazy😬, and i still learning to better my mixing skills. Anyway, very valuable advice, thanks!😄
Jezus, this is annoying to listen to. Doesn't even account for the speed of sound, which would literally be a statement of distance and therefore size. Awful.

it is a little tricky to imagine how this would sound when layered with the character's voice lines and potentially music, but you did a great job

I think 0:40 is just one shot. The second "shot" is actually just the same shot becoming more intense.
