    The Milwauke TORCH with NITRUS CARBID for CAST IRON and other thick metals is the next generation of carbide teeth technology. This SAWZALL blade with NITRUS CARBID teeth allows you to cut longer, cut more and cut faster than traditional carbide teeth products on the market today. MILWAUKEE NITRUS CARBID technology eliminates the tradeoff between life and speed of cut compared to traditional carbide teeth blades. The blade delivers 3X the life of existing carbide teeth reciprocating saw blades to continuously make the toughest cast iron removals on the job. Constructed with 25% more Nitrus Carbide per tooth and a ½” universal tang, The TORCH™ SAWZALL® blade with NITRUS CARBIDE™ is designed to cut the thickest metals like cast iron and soil pipe. With the unique carbide, it also outperforms standard carbide teeth blades in common thick metals.

    Let me tell you why our man Clint is my hero!
    I just came back looking for this video, and see that it was three months ago when I was here before (I have a 3 month old comment below it).
    You see, I am a guy who is finishing up remodeling a distressed foreclosure he bought about 13 years ago. I was a grease monkey in the military, and then a mortgage broker by trade after I got out and went to college. I am NO pro. Honestly, before I bought this old house, I was WAY better under the hoods of my cars than I was inside of the walls of my house.
    But, over 13 years of doing things, doing mist things twice and doing some things three times, I have developed some serious home repair skills. These 13 years have also taught me that, with a 60 year old house, if I haven't had t learn it yet...I will have to learn it some time. That's part of why I watch these videos...to learn, constantly, about what tools are available out there and what they do, without the benefit of being out working in the trades every day.
    Three months ago, I aw this video. Three months ago, I made the funny comment below using the old Ginsu knife commercial. Three months aao, I saw these sawzall blades and thought "self, you handsome devil...there s no DOUBT something will come up later where these blades will be useful." Three months ago, I bought these blades and laid them in my sawzall case.
    Yesterday, I was putting new insulation under the house and found out I have a leaking drain line beneath my toilet. That line is copper. I have to cut out a section of that pipe ad repair it. But how? Haha
    Today, I was watching a plumber fix a problem just like mine on TH-cam and wouldn't you know it, he was using a Sawzall with these Milwaukee Torch blades. "Self, you handsome devil, you HAVE those blades in your Sawzall case, because Clint showed them to you a while back."
    Clint...you ARE the man!

    Use spray lubricant every 3 seconds while doing those cuts. You'll cool and lube the blade and it cuts twice as fast and increases the lifespan of the blade

    • @markmarkw1919
      @markmarkw1919 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Are you sure about that intermittent lube advice? They seem to be doing crazy new things with carbide these days, but about 20 years ago I was told that in machinng steel with carbide cutters, you should either run them under continuous cooling, or none at all. Theory was that the thermal shock of occasional quenching would shatter the ceramic.
      But then again, there was nothing that would perform like this sucker back then either...
      Anyone out there have an authoratative answer on this?

    • @snakeclaw
      @snakeclaw 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@markmarkw1919 I have done no peer reviewed tests. All I know if my experience cutting 4 inch metal stacks in basements and cutting old radiators to be removed. Lots of thick metal. Trial and error. The cuts I made with spray lube went infinitely faster. I suppose you can try it yourself. It doesn't take much to try
