  • Rabbit Shooting with invisible IR light. Tonight, I'm out with two Cyanski torches, one 850Nm and one 940Nm, with the 940Nm they have no idea that Danger is just a click of safety catch away !

      Hello Eric,
      I’ve managed to get a second light mount , so I can now mount both lights together, so I’ll be taking both out again for sure 👍

    Thanks chap I love these as you know. After my Pard misadventure and return to lamping purity you made me think. So I bought a Bresser Gen 1 IR spotter off evilbay. Its good for rabbits out to about 75 yards and fox to a 100. I got a pic rail from Amazon and mounted under the 457 stock at the front, the Cree can be put on in less than a minute. So system for this old technophobe is now scan with IR, then switch on Cree and bang. And it works a treat. Twenty rabbits and a young vixen in one night had me buzzing for a few days. So I have a simple tech setup for about £150 that works, and I mean simple. Love your movie production....all the best!

      @@predatorprotectionuk David I will buy a day/night sight when there is a simple one with one on/off switch, no recording and just one reticle. Alas the younger bucks like their tech, so older dogs like me must adapt 😂

      @predatorprotectionuk  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Steve,
      Who’s Jeremy ? 🤔
      Anyway, I’m not sure if it qualifies as a laser chap, there’s a very small red dot where the light emits, so I’m guessing yes it is.
      It’s grainy as my Wraith is trying to film in 4K , it looks fine through the scope though when I’m using it.
      Whatever it is, it certainly works👍

      Not another chap with an Alpex 🤷🏼‍♂️🫵
      I’m still waiting for mine 🥴
      I was planning to go back to the airfield squirrel feeder later, I’ve put the wraith down to SD and not 4K , so maybe it’ll be better for you🤞🏼
      I went this morning to check the nuts, and swap memory cards on the camera.
      Oh my!!
      I didn’t get em all last time🫢🥴

    If you have a night vision scope, why do you need infra red too?

    • @predatorprotectionuk
      @predatorprotectionuk  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Gib,
      The black and white night vision is designed to work alongside an IR light source.
      Sometimes on a clear moonlit night a light won’t be necessary but it really helps pick out the target with their eyes shining the light reflection .
      If I’m using my thermal scope, then it’s completely covert as it needs no light whatsoever to work, which is why, sitting quietly and getting into position unseen is the best way to catch out unsuspecting visitors .
      I hope that answered your question ?
      David

      @gibmattson1217 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@predatorprotectionuk ok, thankyou. I've only used a normal white light fitted to the top of my scope. But it scares away the bunnies. IR might do it. Thanks.

    Hiya bud an interesting video iv often wondered what the NV filter lenses are like with conventional lamps cos I still use my Deben Tracer with a dimmer and I am reluctant to buy another lamp in LED form until there's a dimmer function with them I run whippets and shoot with sub12 air rifles so stalking in with coloured filters is mostly what I do do you know if these companies that you have mentioned are going to be doing dimmable lamps?

      Hi Jim,
      Thank you very much. That’s the enjoyment I get, when a viewer takes the time to write in and leave positive messages.
      It’s also the reason why, I wake up at 02:00, because I’m thinking about how to put the next video together?
      TH-cam has changed the way I go about my shooting, as now I have to consider you, the viewer. What would you like to see, how would you make the shot, what would you have done differently ?
      All things I now have to consider, long before the Fox, Rabbit , Rat or squirrel even shows itself. I get a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction out of hearing from folks from all corners of the globe, who sit and watch my videos, the videos that keep me awake , or wake me up in the night, with another idea to feature.
      Would I change anything? Nope !
      I love it, and I hope there are many more folks out there, who have yet to stumble across my work, and maybe even support/subscribe to the channel🙏🤞🏼
      The more support I can get, the better the videos will become , and hopefully, some of the kit and techniques will improve too along the way.
      I’m very lucky to have recently organised the business deal with a major night vision/thermal vision supplier, here in the UK, so I’m conscious of doing a good job for them as well now.
      Thank you Jim , for your support, and for waking me up at “silly O’clock” , with another idea for a video😁👍
