Very helpful lesson, but will you please clarify: when walking backwards, does the weight shift to being on the back foot at the end of the move, or does the weight still stay on the front foot, as when you are going forward? Thank you!
Hi there, that's not a silly question at all!! The hagalla is a fast version of the Egyptian walk... Have a look at the next video in this series and you'll see what I mean: th-cam.com/video/CxpCXKRZOOw/w-d-xo.html And here's a video showing you variations on the move: th-cam.com/video/rdqKcyRKNSI/w-d-xo.html I hope they make things a bit clearer and most of all, that you enjoy doing them!
@@CharlotteDesorgher that makes sense now, thank you! I'm loving your lessons, energy and style of dancing. I used to do Asmahan's classes and you're the only other teacher I found who has a really wonderful classic style that I really resonate with. Thank you!
@@CharlotteDesorgher awh u r so sweet, Ive always had hard time following instructions 😢 you broke it down much easier than everyone else, but my coordination needs a lot of work 😢 I'll keep trying

Great method! I got it in about 5 minutes. Excellent teacher.
Love your lesson! Magically made my walking so much more smoother!!
Yeeeeeesssss, thanks a lot for the video! I finally managed the hagalla, After 2 years of trying. Your method is foolproof indeed!
Woohoo!!! That makes me so excited and happy!! Thank you so much for letting me know xxx
I agree - best explanation I’ve seen.
Coming from hula to belly/tribal, this was immensely helpful. Having a count and an 'and' is the same way we learn hula moves.
So love the way you break the moves down Charlotte ❤️
Thank you so much Carol! ❤️
Thank you for the easy explanation of this step.
You're very welcome! I hope it helps x
I GOT IT. Highly recommend dancing goofy to shake the nerves but it is foolproof
