Sadly when you take your emissary flag down it takes off the quest. Well it did for me atleast
After 3 years of that working as mentioned in the video, Rare changed the way it works recently 😕
Now if you lose the flag you lose the emissary quest.

I couldn't agree more with order of souls' quests, I just wish I had seen your videos before I did the grind to pirate legend.
The trick with order is you have to cancel it when you don't have any islands with three or more
from my experience its even better if you still keep putting normal voyages on the table as these can have overlap with emissary quests putting even more chests on every single island. if you do that and in adition clear megs, skeleton ships, captains orders and the occasional treasury , you actually end up getting emissary 5 without finishing your emissary quests, and the new ones will not replace the old ones, and they can even be on the same island. getting 20 chests from 4 islands that get you to level 5 is pretty neat, but getting 20 chests from one small island that gets you to level 5 instantly is even better
Your videos have helped me improve so much, I encounter so many people who clearly haven't watched them.
For merchants I would leave the level 5 flag up ignore the emissary quest and go over to the devil's roar and start doing cargo runs
Supposedly, captain's voyages have more variation in spawn location compared to normal ones. Mixel noticed it with Veils but I think it applies to everything.
The best way to level up Gold Hoarder Emissary is to do Devil's Roar Vaults. 1 Vault = 1 full flag and it should take 15 - 35ish minutes depending on if solo or not.

Thanks! For me I'm a reaper myself. I have fallen victim of the enjoyment of battle and betrayal (in a honorable pirate way, not gonna fight someone who literally doesn't wanna fight or doesn't have a emissary 5 or more, plus I'll honestly leave the loot most the time.)
I guess my point is ultimately this game is beautiful because you can always play it how you wish. Whatever pace. Whatever way.
We are only 5 years into the 10 year plan of this game and I can't phantom the comeback it'll have along with setting a trend for sandbox games like this.
In my opinion SoT is the only game that works in the way it does.

Nice. I do the same, except I tend to do the 'jump start' twice to get an extra emissary quest, so you don't have to worry too much about finding skelly ships/megs to get you back to 5
what you mean? You can’t claim more than one of the same emissary quest. Or can you?
@@xstaycold You can, just drop the flag and get it to 5 again and you can get another one, you can stack as many as you like
You know there are quite a few people that make fun of you for your style of Videos and I myself also think: " ah another PhuzzyBond enjoyer" whenever I get chainshoted out of a forts cannon tower. But I think what you do Is great and you really helped me when I was a noob and had no Idea what I am suposed to do on the sea of Thieves. So keep up the great work
I've been putting my nose to the screen and squinting like a mad man trying to find these bloody chests, the F to zoom is a very welcome tip thank you! I'll continue watching now and seek out more revelations.
Treasuries and shrines are great when your stuff is in the mermaid statue it is secure no one can steal it from that statue until you claim it on the surface it's like the only way in the game secure your loot where it's unstealable the mermaids will hold it for like 2 hours and I've heard you could jump servers too and not lose it
The only 2 times I did it my ship got sunk so I don’t run those with emissary anymore.
This video also highlights just how badly the company quests need a re-work. Shuffling quests is so immersion-breaking and having no rewarding OOS quests is just such a bummer it makes the game feel incomplete. The worst part is that the quests are often very fun! There is simply not enough reward for doing things like deliveries, ghost ship fleets, etc. Increasing the rewards these quests give would make the game more whole and create new types of pirates to encounter. Right now the top players are those who have figured this stuff out and grinded hard. I WANT to encounter other players doing ghost fleets or deliveries, those can be amazing fights or alliances! but I simply do not see them, ever, because it's not worth anyone's time, and the seas are worse off because of it.
Great video. Coming back after a 2 year break and relearning with all this new stuff. A little confused about what you were talking about with the merchant stuff at the end and voting/shuffling 25 times. I watched that part a few times and just couldn’t get it 😂

For merchant shipwrecks I recommend going to daggertooth to get the route to marauders arch which is very short
Or golden sands to smugglers Bay. You always end up fairly close to sanctuary with the shipwreck
This route is going to be really helpful after i did that Sailor of the Whispering Bones commendation.. Thanks Bond!
For OOS I sometimes take high level captain's voyages. Also works relatively quickly
Sea forts is also better
As someone who wants to get better at pvp but overall still loves the loads of pve, these are appreciated.

One thing you forgot to mention is this is all null/void once that grade 5 reaper portal hops for you.
Yep, exactly what happened to me yesterday. Did the merchant shipwreck quest. Once I finally emptied the wreck, the reaper 5 brig moved in. Another 1,5 hour wasted

I bet that for merchant it is more worth to repeat the shipment voyage and skip the emissary quest all together. Guaranteed lvl 5 to lower and pair that with buying and selling a single commodity trip every time. But and sell all commodities regardless of location and sell them after hitting 5, before you reraise.

Actually I think the merchant route between Golden Sand and Dagger Tooth is the easiest. Shorter distance and almost always the same places to check. Plus with the sovereigns selling at Dagger Tooth is easy now.
The merchant can make more if you know where to take the quests. Cause it goes to islands that have even more crates

4:43, another helpful hint is to get a teammate to do this with for the islands that have a word Quest while you're digging up chest. That way you can increase the speed at which you generate money.

The only thing that would have improved the video would have been a graphic at the end about how much you made at each point. You did it audibly in the Gold Hoarder bit, but there was no mention of how much gold for the other two factions.

what i personally like doing is i take emissary quest loot to reapers. because then i can put stuff into all 4.

My tips for you guys: Ashen Vaults, OOS quests in the roar, and Devil's Roar cargo. Twice as much money, no PVP
The problem is that even Devil's Roar doesn't compare to looping Emissary Quests, and on top of that, if you get your emissary quests at Morrow's Peak, you'll just end up with them in the Wilds. Also Volcanoes will slow you down substantially if you have to wait for them. Doing Devil's Roar voyages is only about PvP safety, not speed.
@@AdmiralTails You don't need to take the emissary quests, they are crappy Captain Chests. Also, you don't need to wait for volcanoes to get the clues, you can jump of to pick up the map pieces. The only time the volcano slows you down is on Fetchers and Ashen Reaches, the vault locations. (Not if you are duo, someone can stay on the ship, the other player moves loot)
If you are purely trying to make money, going for repeated merchant Lost Cargo missions is probably still better than looping the merchant emissary quests. I still did those for commendations, but have maxed those by now.
Order of Souls really needs a fresh voyage, the current ones are much worse in comparison to good voyages from the other factions. Something they could implement is some kind of Skeleton Crypt voyage, where you gather clues much like the Vault voyages, but at the end there's a big Skeleton Captain Crypt with traps and such where you have to kill an army of Skeleton Captains for a nice big pile of skulls. Those Crypts could be implemented underground on existing islands without disturbing the surface terrain too much.
16:45 what do you take to increase your emisarry level?
This is nice if you want to level emissaries, but if you want big money, then you just gotta farm FOTD. Get a bunch of skulls, run the fort twice and sell, rinse and repeat, and you make like 250k per run, and you can run it in like 15 minutes with knowledgeable players.

I'm taking the long way round, getting to Pirate Legend status by leveling up Gold Hoarders, Merchant Alliance and....Hunter's Call.
It has been a year and a half and i am...halfway there. 50+ on Gold Hoarders and Merchant Alliance, 39 on Hunter's Call

I'm actually colorblind so its hard to tell the X from the green or orange in the devils roar so that white X tip really helps
I know the endless cycle of emissary works for the main 3 factions but could you do the same for Athena? If so what’s a easy way to get grade 5?
A single full veil should get you to 5 Athena. However, the end of the veil is very visible unlike these other voyages. Another drawback is that the loop does not rinse/repeat as easily as the other factions, since the emissary quest for Athena will not get you back up to 5 on its own. However, you can take another veil quest and do just the first part of it (which is less conspicuous than the whole thing) and that should get you back to 5 for the loop.
Yes you can, but a skeleton ships alongside that should get it to 5
@@nomas1989 this is possible and really fast actually - what you do is reroll veils until u get a starting shipwreck graveyard or belle as its the fastest, place the veil stone and grab the loot this should alone get you to grade2 close to 3.
if the next one in the same voyage is a wreck or belle then complete it. If it isn't, start a new veil that is shipwreck or belle.
Takes around 4 modules to get to grade 5

I think it might be better after the first treasury to go to the island that's next to it get off your boat loot a little bit and then wait for the treasury to respawn rather than sailing all the way to the other Treasury
To be fair it would be faster just to sail to the next one rather than waiting for it to respawn

Phuzzy the Sanctuary Outpost-The Wild Treasure Store lost shipment working backwards. I mean if the origin is The Wild Treasure Store and the des. is Sanctuary Outpost then the key will be at south from Old Faithful Island and the shipwreck will be between Lone Cove and Boulder Cay.

I shuffled through all of the lost shipments in the world at spoils and NEVER got wild treasures store 😭
When he picks up the chest and he thinks it makes his point but it doesn't. The other chests had already been picked up meanwhile the one from up top hadn't meaning more emissary xp

It's not necessary, I get to emissary V with 2 shrines and 1 skeleton sloop

Do reaper grade 5 . Sail to sea Fort. Collect loot sail 3 or 4 squares away wait 5 min for Fort respawn sail back. Do this for hour or so get 300k
So me and my friend were doing a fort of fortune, he was clearing the waves while I was digging up skeleton orders, I dug up two ashen winds Skulls, 3 gunpowder kegs, 1 stronghold keg, and two chests of rage, annnnnnnd an ambush from a galleon
Did they lower the amount for a level 5 flag and also lower the amount of emissary rep you get when you do emissary quest im not get a full five, i might be doing something wrong
Dunno, but you still can get lvl 5 order of souls from doing emissary quests.
If you are solo slooper, do trade routes for Merchant Alliance. You never are more than 20 feet away from ship.
