The best explanation for NCT's concept I saw is this: think of NCT as the magazine Vogue NCT 127 is Vogue Korea WayV is Vogue China NCT Dream is Vogue Teen NCT U is Vogue Limited Edition
isnt that dreamy it’s political issue between south korea and china related to THAAD if i’m not mistaken. so, basically china had to stop hallyu in their country because of that THAAD.
@@amy4950 I think it might be due to various political reasons between China and South Korea. Those two countries aren't on the friendliest of terms :(
They’re all a part of NCT, just politics in china means the members can’t really mention it, but other members have talked about all 21 of them and hanging out together
Aren't they all members of NCT? WayV is a sub unit of NCT it's just a chinese sub unit. I'm pretty sure it was confirmed that they are all members of NCT. (So technically it's just the members who've been in past NCT music videos in which case there is four not three)

Take Off is such a JAM!! I'm absolutely obsessed. The choreography, the video, the visuals, the vocals, all of this is a YES for me! I'm so glad this is their official debut song instead of the Chinese version of Regular like most people thought at first. Even though NCT is not in their name, which had to be done for legal and political reasons, they ARE an NCT subunit.
WayV is officially a NCT subunit, SM already said that NCT now has 21 members including the chinese members that debuted with WayV, and there were 4 members of NCT: WinWin, Kun, Lucas and Ten.
SM has confirmed that WayV is a subunit of NCT. They're all members of NCT. 4 of them have previously debuted in other NCT units before debuting in WayV and 3 members had their first debut in WayV.
They are NCT just a sub unit thats seperated from the NCT branding. Thats why they are a different name completley instead of being like NCTA Wave or something like that..but they're all NCT members
CORRECTION: 4 of the members are from other NCT subunits: Kun- the leader, eldest, vocalist ,from NCT 2018 Ten - main dancer, lead vocalist, from NCT U Winwin - vocalist, lead dancer, from NCT127, NCT U Lucas - Main rapper, vocalist, lead dancer, from NCT U The new 3 are all SM Rookies (trainees slated to debut into SM groups). Xiao Jun - lead vocalist Hendery - lead vocalist, lead rappe , lead dancer Yang Yang - main rapper, lead dancer WAYV (Weishen V) has had to create a new label and name autonomous from NCT because of the currently political tensions between Korea and China and China's current ban of the Hallyu wave in China. MONROE!!!!! Please help me educate Zak! In the beginning, he said, "I feel like NCT needs like a booklet to explain all their subgroups." Ok listen, I've seen so many good-hearted, well-intentioned people try to explain the NCT unit system in comments before, and though I know they are just trying to help, every single one ends up making it unnecessarily complicated...so, I'm gonna lay it out for you in what I think is the simplest and easiest way to understand...ready? *NCT 127*--The 'main' group...like, the upper-classmen, the group that gets the most marketing, based in Seoul S.Korea but tours all over the world, etc. *NCT DREAM*--the kiddos...under 18, marketed to a younger audience, and mostly all aspire to 'graduate' into NCT 127 one day... *NCT(current year)*--literally everybody under the NCT project. This year they are called "NCT 2019" *NCT U*--"Hey bro, so I have this idea for a song, I think it would be really cool, wanna do it with me?"(aka special projects, side projects, concept projects, anybody can be in it) *WayV*--A Chinese NCT, marketed exclusively in China. Due to geopolitical relations between Korea and China, the Chinese government doesn't allow Korean pop acts to market in China, so a Chinese NCT was born out of necessity in an attempt to break into the Chinese market. Now, be honest, was that explanation easy to understand? I genuinely want to know, because I've seen others try to explain it and end up adding unnecessary details that just make it more confusing.

I just have to say that WayV are part of Nct 2019 and only 3 of the members are new, they add 3 members every year, the rest of them were already part of Nct, actually Ten was in the debut of Nct. WayV is definitely my favorite sub unit by far lol do you think you guys could react to Vromance? Their songs She, I'm Fine, and Star are some of my favorites :)
WayV is still considered part of NCT. Yes, WayV has 3 new members that debuted specifically to be a part of NCT's Chinese sub-unit, but that does not make them separate from NCT. NCT currently has 21 members and that includes all the WayV members. The only reason why WayV doesn't have NCT in their name like the other NCT sub-units is because with the political issues between Korea and China right now Korean companies can not work in China. NCT's Chinese sub-unit has been going to debut for years, but with all the political issues it took SM a long iime to find a way to work around all the rules the Chinese government put in place to prevent its native Chinese citizens from working with anyone associated with Korea and preventing anyone who was working with a Korean company from working in China. So in order to circumvent some of China's restrictions, SM found/created a Chinese company that was willing to take on NCT's Chinese sub-unit but also allow SM to have a say in the group's concept and promotion activities. Part of how they get around the rules is they gave the group a name that distances them from their Korean roots. The company WayV is under is called Label V which is part of SM, but separate from the Korean branch of the company and it only produces songs in Mandarin to keep the Chinese government happy. However, because it has the word Label in its name, we know its part of SM because all of SM''s sub-companies kind of follow that same naming convention -- Super Junior's production company is called Label SJ. All the members of WayV also speak Mandarin and have some connection to Chinese heritage, but I am pretty sure none of the members are native mainland Chinese citizens, so this gives them some immunity from the Chinese government. But they are Chinese and they are promoting Chinese culture, so the Chinese government kind of turns a blind eye to the fact that they are technically still under a Koran company, as long as they hid any connection to their Korean company while doing promotions in China. Because of all the political issues between the Korean and Chinese governments, Kpop idols such as WayV, Lay from EXO, Zhoumi from Super Junior-M and Victoria, the leader of F(x), etc. are all separated from their Korean groups because of the restrictions China has put on everything they do. Now I am no where near an expert on the topic, and I admit that I only understand a very minor part of what is going on between the Chinese and Korean government, but as I understand it, part of the reason for the ban on Chinese and Korean workers between the two countries is that China is refusing to align itself with the U.S. or South Korea to protect themselves with deployment of the THAAD missile defense system in South Korea. North Korea and China want to get rid of the rocket system that is meant to shoot down a nuclear missile if North Korea were to launch one at South Korea or the U.S. Another reason why China doesn't like the THAAD system is because China and the U.S. don't have the best relationship, so if the U.S. and China become on even worse terms China is afraid the U.S. could also use THAAD against them. China says the THAAD system is just provoking them to actually start a nuclear war, and until they remove it or at least move it back from the South Korean boarder, they will continue their ban on Korean products, workers and the Hallyu wave from working in China and for its native Chinese citizens from working with Korean companies. China feels like the Korean government is taking away its native commodities by allowing Chinese people to work in Korea. The issue is even more complicated than this, but that is one part of it. However, this doesn't always explain why some Chinese idols have been able to get around China's rules and have been able to continue working with their Kpop groups without any backlash But all I can guess is these idols don't have any connection to mainland China. If they are from somewhere else in China such as Hong Kong or a Chinese adjacent country such as Taiwan, etc. or if they are citizens of other counties like Thailand or Germany, the rule doesn't apply to them. All i can guess is these idols have some sort of loophole, such as they don't have any family living in mainland China, which allows them to avoid the regulations. When China first began cracking down on their citizens working in Korea there were rumors that the Chinese government was threatening to revoke the citizenship of any mainland native Chinese person who continued to do business with a Korean company and lived outside of China. This rule would have prevented Idols, such as Lay, from visiting family and doing business in China, etc. The only way for them to avoid this from happening was for them to come back to China right away and stop doing business with their Korean companies. I don't know if this was really true or if it was just a rumor, but that is what I heard. Which would explain why some Chinese Idols don't feel any pressure to stop working in Korea because they have nothing to lose if they don't have a life in China. However, Lay, being China's golden child and having ties with the Chinese government means he has even more obligations and reason to follow all the rules, because he can't afford to be "blacklisted" by the Chinese government -- too much of his livelihood and identity is wrapped up in China..
if you want to see more of wayv, please check out regular and their dance practice videos. they're all SO amazing and keep breaking our expectations! also there's technically four members of wayv who were originally nct members; kun, ten, winwin and lucas! ps: any checking out long flight by our very own lee taeyong?? ^__^ LOVE Y'ALL
Leah WayV is an official NCT sub group, the only reason they have another label and name is bc of the tensions between China and Korea, in order for them to promote in China and perform there China kinda forces them to pick or choose so they haven't been able to really promote in Korea. They're dual managed by SM and Chinese label Tencent media (i tink thats the name its a big label in China). And bout the different sub groups, the initial goal of NCT was to have groups based in different locations, one for each place members were from. WayV is the first actual group to do that lmao SM Ceo kinda changed his mind a bit and ended up using NCT 127 for everything bc they've gotten so popular. NCT 127 is the Seoul-based group of we'll say big kid NCT. They were meant to spread korean around the world but they now currentoy sing songs in English, Korean, and Japanese. They just signed with Capitol Records in america so expect more english tracks. NCT Dream is lil kid NCT and is also based in Seoul with all their songs in Korean. Once members turn 20 they age out and move into the big kid groups. Or they just move to China like Renjun. NCT 127 maknae member Haechan is the current leader of Dream and will age out soon. NCT Dream just did a really cool collab single with an english(read british) singer HRVY who's like the same age as them called Dont Need Your Love. They still sing in Korean but use a lot of english so maybe dream will start to make more english tracks as well? NCT U is a nothing group just one song collabs between fellow NCT members from any group. Many NCT members who have not debuted within a particular group you can only see here. Lucas and Ten the main rappers of WayV were only seen in NCT U songs and only some of them. Ten and Taeyong (from 127) did a great duet called Baby Dont Stop. Lucas did a great song with Taeyong, Mark, and Doyoung called Yestoday. There's an MV for both of these tracks. Yestoday was written and composed by Taeyong and he really begged SM to let him release it so its very special to NCTzens. Finally NCT has an album called NCT 2018 which is just a compilation of all the songs the current members of NCT (as of the end of 2018) had made. So basically a NCT rewind. Each year they say they plan to do it as a re-introduction. I hope that helps you understand more!!
I finally got to watch your reaction after waiting all day lol but this song is such a banger haha and I’m actually still learning names to faces haha and like just the amount of swag they have is amazing!! Such a great song and amazing dancing!! ❤️❤️ Ten is the main dancer. Loved each different genre of music they included, especially the rock. I’m not sure if you heard but SM has put together a temporary group which will debut Oct 4th, they are called Super M. The members are the best of the best! Taemin is the leader, from NCT Taeyong, Ten, Mark and Lucas, and from EXO Baekhyun and Kai. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖. Did your head just explode?! Can you imagine the vocals, dancing and charisma that will come from those 7 amazing artists!! I can’t wait!! 🤩🤩😍😍👑👑💖💖🔥🔥
Thank you so much for this reactions and for liking wayv's song, i enjoyed your reactions... also please try to react to taeyong's long flight im sure you'll enjoy it 😊
Yes, WayV is a sub unit of NCT. There are intercultural barriers, but aside from the bureaucratic stuff, they are NCT. There are 4 members (Kun, Ten, WinWin, and Lucas) have debuted in various NCT projects already. The other 3 were trainees with all the other 18 members, so yeah, they are part of the Neo Culture Technology. So happy you enjoyed them all.
WayV are part of NCT. Originally, everyone thought they were going to be named NCT C/China but they got this name due to political difficulties between China and Korea. So they left out NCT from the name to distance themselves from the korean company and therefore to better promote in China. The three members you're talking about are either Ten, Kun , Lucas or Winwin. Because all four of them were 'originally' from NCT, if you can say it like that. But the three left - Xiaojun, Yangyang and Hendery - just became a part of NCT as a whole when they debuted with WayV. To back that all up: during a press conference or something, someone from SM Ent. was specifically asked if WayV was part of NCT and they said yes. Also, WayV debuted with the chinese version of Regular, which was originally by NCT 127.
Their name was actually supposed to be NCT V(ision), SM had all the social media ready before they had to change the name. WayV inn addition for be a shortened name of how their Chinese name is pronounced stands for "we are your vision". I think this was revealed during the Dream Launch stuff?
davonnadarling i know. I just meant that fans were speculating they would be named NCT china when rumours started going around about a Chinese sub unit
Wayv is a unit of NCT. they are just branded without the NCT title in China because of the issues between South Korea and China..so as a whole, NCT is a 21 member group including the 3 new boys added for WayV.
Yes, WayV is the Chinese subunit of NCT. A high level SM official recently confirmed that currently, NCT has 21 members. While WinWin (127, U), Ten (U), Lucas (U), and Kun (U) had all previously debuted with NCT, Xiaojun, YangYang, and Hendery are just as much members of NCT as any of the other 18 members. Would you please check out the rookie group from this year, Trei? Trei is a male trio and their main vocalist Kim Juntae has a beautiful and powerful voice! He actually sang vocal guides for BTOB (vocal kings) and Pentagon! I really recommend their song Gravity (warning: the mv is low budget cause they are from a small company) and their cover of Night Rather Than Day by their older sister group EXID. The youngest member Changhyun produces all of their music and actually wrote Night Rather Than Day! Thank you!
Actually four members debuted in NCT before NCT China(aka WayV because of politic stuff) make a debut in China. The members are: Lucas - He was in NCT U - "Boss", his unique song in korean under NCT brand(with the group, he was in SM idols songs too), BUT what made me surprise is that even when he was just in one song, he became the second most popular member past year(voted by fans) and just "lost" to Taeyong(the first place no matter what). Kun - He was in NCT U - "Without you - chinese version" and NCT 2018 - "Black on Black". He's the leader of WayV and he's known as a mom to NCT/WayV members like Taeyong is. Ten(aka "The best main dancer of this generation") - He was in NCT debut, the first ever song of the brand NCT called "The 7th Sense", and NCT U - "Baby Don't Stop" and he has two solo songs. Winwin - He was in NCT127 since the begin of the unit and his last song with NCT127 was "Simon Says". Actually Winwin forgot once and intruduced himself as "Winwin from NCT 127" instead of "Winwin from WayV"(so cute). He have been a member of NCT127 for long, but now he's in WayV. The other three members were trainees that were locked in SM basement(I'm sorry for the bad joke, NCTzens, I love this joke because it's true). They are under the brand NCT too, but they debuted in China unit. That's it, we love NCT because WayV is NCT China(with a different name because of politics stuff I really can't understand well).
Are you loving our intro song?!

wayv reaction YES! Wayv’s Turn back time is visual candy. love rIVerse videos

Thank you guys so much for loving and supporting WayV 🥰
WayV’s debut was with the song “Regular” (chinese version), do check it out! ❤️
You guys definitely need to check their chinese version of Regular which is NCT 127's original song. It's soo good
Thank you very much for the reaction, I've been waiting for this for a long time😅

oh wait I needed that part at the end #BWVL and the a capella!!!!!
So happy you enjoyed them all.
please react to Lay - Honey!!!!!!! he’s from EXO and the song is in english!!!
Lay -Honey
They were supposed to be named nct Vision
Their name was actually supposed to be NCT V(ision), SM had all the social media ready before they had to change the name. WayV inn addition for be a shortened name of how their Chinese name is pronounced stands for "we are your vision". I think this was revealed during the Dream Launch stuff?
davonnadarling i know. I just meant that fans were speculating they would be named NCT china when rumours started going around about a Chinese sub unit
Yay! WayV reaction! Love them!
finally finally finally i can't speak. i am waiting for this react alot of time 😭💙💙
Wayv is a unit of NCT. they are just branded without the NCT title in China because of the issues between South Korea and China..so as a whole, NCT is a 21 member group including the 3 new boys added for WayV.
Thank you!
I’ve never clicked this fast before
Please react to Wayv's regular and nct 127's superhuman please. I am so happy you guys loved wayv!
Also I'm seeing wrong info in the comments 😅
Actually four members debuted in NCT before NCT China(aka WayV because of politic stuff) make a debut in China. The members are:
Lucas - He was in NCT U - "Boss", his unique song in korean under NCT brand(with the group, he was in SM idols songs too), BUT what made me surprise is that even when he was just in one song, he became the second most popular member past year(voted by fans) and just "lost" to Taeyong(the first place no matter what).
Thank god wayv are noticed and I am so happy
FINALLY I WAS WAITING FOR THE LONGEST TIME DJDBEJE
Please react to :
