The distance you hit your irons baffles me lol. I put a good jolt on the ball myself but you're 2 sometimes 3 clubs ahead of me. Anyone else in the same boat??
I can hit my PW 170 if I swing hard....but I never do 3/4 swing for me is 150 an accurate all day. I think what's impressive is his swing is for the most part controlled and still gets the distance it does.
A lot of people are in your boat, but it does depend on the irons that you use. Some are not designed for that kind of distance. I started looking at the Taylormade P790 irons, which I will probably upgrade to but before that I need to finish upgrading my woods to Taylormade T5. I have the driver. I just need to get the 3 and 5 woods. Then I will do the irons. I might try renting a set of the irons for a couple of rounds before going all in though.
Great video Brodie. A couple of things: 1. Loving the 2-part style to these solo videos. Makes it much easier to watch. 2. Haven't stopped creating good content, keep it up. 3. When are you thinking of coming to Australia? Would love to do a fan meetup!
come to Australia and play brookwater golf course and really challenge yourself. Greg norman designed. Miss a fairway your in the trees. Everyshot has to be on point. Google it!
I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia so cool to see you playing courses in the area ! I was wondering if you could do a video about how you travel with your clubs and give info on how you pack them, what travel case you use and any tips or tricks you use etc. keep up the awesome videos man
Nice start to the round. I can't believe I just watched you play the front 9. Even, crazier, I'm off to watch the back 9. I'm off to play Cliffs in a month, Links as well if my back holds up. "Janice" cracks me up.
I’m at 8:17 but just had to stop to comment. I’ve watched a bunch of your golf videos, including the earlier “survival round”... you can tell that you’re engaged in this round. You’re attitude is way more positive, regardless of whether or not you hit a great shot. You are just really focused on each shot and it’s cool to see this approach. I’ve seen it in spurts from you before, but you seem locked in from the start (mentally) this time. I’m a former club professional, just so you have a frame of reference for my thoughts. Great video so far... hoping you finish the front in -2.
Soo pumped to see Cabot Links again, hope you enjoy the course, definitely a must play even if its just the once. If you come back to Canada next year come over to PEI we got a few dope courses you would like and we have all kinds of eagles too 😆
such a beautiful course, but as shown in your early round the weather can change on a dime, working at this course this week we went from sunny t shirt weather to snow and 150km winds in two days... welcome to links golf
You got me into ultimate back in the day and now you’re getting me back into golf, keep up the amazing content!! For your rules question: Rule 10.2b “Other Help” says you can align your shot with an object but it must be removed before the stroke is made. But I won’t tell anyone 🤫
Love the content my guy. Would like to pose what I see as an upgrade that may or may not be possible. On every hole you have the map of the hole when you are driving. On holes where the ball does not land within clear distance of the hole, it would awesome To hVe you pull that map back out and add a dot to where the ball landed and you are playing your shot from! Keep up the great work you two!
Just curious . Brodie obviously had tremendous "feel" in his hands for his amazing frisbee shots and I wondered if he has found the right grip/feel to take his golf to an even higher level as he has tremendous ability .
My home course has a number of semi-blind or blind approaches, I've got them all memorized by now but when I didn't I'd walk up, pick a tree or something in line with the flag and my ball, and use that as a reference. Cabot Links is tricky, especially that approach on 8, because there's nothing on the horizon to use. The best you can do is try to figure out something with the bunkers (unless you've got a caddie).
Brodie when was this!! I'm from Newfoundland (neighbour) and we are covered in 2 feet of snow! Always wanted to play this course and with you. If I'm ever in Texas in 2020, would love to have a round!
just wanted to help out cuz i had a similar ruling on using something to give you a line to a blind shot at the arizona high school state tournament, it is illegal because it is seen as course obstruction but love your vids keep it up
Kinda unrelated to the video, but would you guys in the comments recommend any courses in Orlando Florida please. Taking my Dad on a golf trip there in February and I'm still figuring out the course we are gonna play.
Brodie, I am glad you like my idea of listing the prices of the courses that you play. I figured it would be great for your viewers who want to visit these places. Can you gimme a shout out on the first video you do that for!!!!
Okay, I’d like to start off by saying, if you haven’t watched part one, what are you doing? Two, my lefty comment was taken the wrong way. I love all dominant hands. Right. Left. Heck, even if you are ambidextrous, I am open to all. Apologies to the Lefties out there. I still love you. Forgive me?
Lol im lefty and found it funny how much reaction there was from it. I was thinking part of their squabble started from the son being a lefty and the father having a difficult time coaching him..which is why i play right handed. Cheers!
I'm pretty sure it is illegal to put something on your line as a marker. What I do is walk up my direct line and find a tree in the background or something to aim at that correlates to the spot I want on the line. Tends to work in most situations.
Brodie Smith Golf Ahhhh yes very true, proves to be another challenge. Much like the many others I am loving the golf content, you’re very motivating to get back and grind on the course!
Seriously, your ballflight cam (phone?) has such a better picture than what you're recording with. LOL... /sigh/ ain't technology grand?!! Look at the Switch at 15:20 to crisp at 15:24 and back to blurry at 15:33.. makes you want to just record with that the whole time for color/clarity. =)
Hi I live in Bahrain and we have a really challenging golf course I know you’ll never probs come but you should go to Abu Dhabi because the golf course are amazing and really hard love your vids 😊
be more careful on using rakes or flags for alignment. When I play golf on computer I hope for par in windy, -6 in breezy, so seeing the conditions I expected a 6 stroke better round
Don't forget to drop a like on the video if you enjoy the content! Helps us out a lot. Thanks guys!
What’s with that hum through most of the video?
When was this filmed?
Why do you call each other Janice?!
Come back to Cabot next year and do a meet + greet please
Sooooooo many lefyies here so not rare
You should collab with Peter Finch and Rick Shiels
The distance you hit your irons baffles me lol. I put a good jolt on the ball myself but you're 2 sometimes 3 clubs ahead of me. Anyone else in the same boat??
The only ones in your boat are the women and children.
Pitching wedge 180? Nah that’s ridiculously long. That’s a 5 iron for most
I can hit my PW 170 if I swing hard....but I never do 3/4 swing for me is 150 an accurate all day. I think what's impressive is his swing is for the most part controlled and still gets the distance it does.

I can hit my p wedge 100 METRES which is probz like 120 yards except I’m a kid and also my pitching wedge is like 20 years old soooo
Being able to golf two rounds with your best friend/wife in one day .....goals..
Great video Brodie. A couple of things:

that fact that you are doing redemption round on the same holes is awesome mindset on trying to improve ur golf with different weather conditions :)
One of my favorite videos you ever made
Thanks Dane!
You guys are a pleasure to watch. Glad to have Kelsey on the videos. And I can't believe you walked 36 holes. Hat off to youse.
I think the birdie dance/ sound effect should be a mainstay here. It’s hilarious
Wow your game gets better and better each video. Keep up the good work!!!
Another day another Darkhorse round for the Smith family keep it up guys much respect ✊🏻
I don't like watching you suffer through the elements. So much more enjoyable when you're enjoying it!
Education and entertainment combined you say? Nailed it 👍😁
What a difference the weather makes!! Great content keep it coming brother!!
Thanks so much!
I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia so cool to see you playing courses in the area ! I was wondering if you could do a video about how you travel with your clubs and give info on how you pack them, what travel case you use and any tips or tricks you use etc. keep up the awesome videos man
“Might’ve gone in”
Kelsey the “good wife”: No

You should play the cliff course
That is next
Your a very good player. back tees on cabot. extremely impressive. it highlights how good a touring pro is.
Grinding it out dude .that's why we play golf. Its really hard ❤
Dang... Being lefty never hurt so bad hearing Kelsey start with “Well first off he’s a lefty”
Bo Perez it’s ok 😊
Soo pumped to see Cabot Links again, hope you enjoy the course, definitely a must play even if its just the once. If you come back to Canada next year come over to PEI we got a few dope courses you would like and we have all kinds of eagles too 😆

Glad you are enjoying them!
such a beautiful course, but as shown in your early round the weather can change on a dime, working at this course this week we went from sunny t shirt weather to snow and 150km winds in two days... welcome to links golf
Great course. Great couple. Kelsey is so cute and the commentary is hilarious.
Kelsey is the best
Love the drone flyovers, really makes you appreciate how pretty the course is
That actual definition cracked me up. Topography was what you were looking for!
You got me into ultimate back in the day and now you’re getting me back into golf, keep up the amazing content!!
For your rules question: Rule 10.2b “Other Help” says you can align your shot with an object but it must be removed before the stroke is made. But I won’t tell anyone 🤫
Keep it on the DL

Oh good idea. Unfortunately I don't have the map of every hole on every course I play. This is a great suggestion though.
On any hold you do get the map that would be great!
Kelsey holding ut down like a boss. Love the content with you two. Keep it up Brodie
She is always the best
I was actually lmao-ing at your typography vs topography 🤣
Really good nine. Can't wait to see the final
Going up tomorrow
Such a beautiful course can't wait til you upload the cliffs love y'all stay darkhorse
Nice video, good score so far. Can’t wait for Cliffs video to drop.
Happy New Year to you and Kasey!! Best wishes from the UK!
nice course, have you ever considered either more cohesive or even jumbo grips
Just curious why you'd suggest this
Just curious . Brodie obviously had tremendous "feel" in his hands for his amazing frisbee shots and I wondered if he has found the right grip/feel to take his golf to an even higher level as he has tremendous ability .
@@brianlockhart9384 gotcha
Did you not do a video of the Cliffs course!?
Kelsey, when is your next lesson? Have you been putting in the time?! We want to see a range session/ round
We took some time off for the holidays
@@BrodieSmithGolf that makes sense. 2020 is the year then
18:05 I'd like to know also. Some courses with blind shots....how the heck would a person know where to hit?....unless they play there often.
Without a caddie or second person it’s tough. I think it’s illegal but I’m not an expert in golf but still love to play it
My home course has a number of semi-blind or blind approaches, I've got them all memorized by now but when I didn't I'd walk up, pick a tree or something in line with the flag and my ball, and use that as a reference. Video is gold Johannesburg. As always 🔥🙏🏻
When is Kelsey going to be ready to play
Those drives were really BOMBED!
Can you do and updated what’s in the bag please!!! Loved the first one and I’d love to see another
Need to do one for 2020 and one for Kelsey
When you are a lefty and now have to rethink if you are liked lol thanks Kelsey! Great to see all the content Brodie!
Clean nine brodie, good stuff!
How are you able to play such nice courses solo and not be paired or grouped with others?
Brodie when was this!! I'm from Newfoundland (neighbour) and we are covered in 2 feet of snow! Always wanted to play this course and with you. If I'm ever in Texas in 2020, would love to have a round!
just wanted to help out cuz i had a similar ruling on using something to give you a line to a blind shot at the arizona high school state tournament, it is illegal because it is seen as course obstruction but love your vids keep it up
Thanks for letting me know
Im so glad someone answered that question.
Unfortunately you’d be even par for using that rake to align your shot!
Right near where I’m from. Was waiting for you to find this course!
Love these vlogs. Let me know next time your in Orlando and we can play a round at Country Club of Orlando, one of the oldest courses in the state.
That’s dope!
I used to work there in the summers. I wish I was still there to caddy for you!
Kinda unrelated to the video, but would you guys in the comments recommend any courses in Orlando Florida please. Taking my Dad on a golf trip there in February and I'm still figuring out the course we are gonna play.
Didn’t realize you made your way to Cape Breton, how did you like it here?
We loved our time up there!
Great team, great content, great channel. 👍👍👍
Thanks!
Comment on the layer change and weather being nuts: welcome to Cape Breton. I just live up the road and yep this is it lol
Hurts my heart whenever you put your bag or tri pod on the green, those impressions😭😭
14:28 how much time do you have is there like nobody behind you
We had people in front of us
Where you from? I live an hour from this course and planning on playing this year
Hole 8 just before you hit is absolutely stunning
Should definitely print that as a picture, brodie.
Great video! The course looked really neat! Let's work on that birdie call ha!!
Straight Darkhorse Birdie Call
Did you play cliffs
love the vids brodie keep it up my guy
@ 10:40 I'm saying a 12 stroke swing to the good, I'll keep watching to see. Nice second round man.
Such a sick intro, well done
Glad you liked it!
Brodie, I am glad you like my idea of listing the prices of the courses that you play. I figured it would be great for your viewers who want to visit these places. Can you gimme a shout out on the first video you do that for!!!!
Man brodie if them wedges ever cooperate, you would be a real threat on the course. Awesome videos man
Yea wedges are all about practice practice practice for me
Kelsey is hilarious
I agree
Brodie What shot tracer do you use? Im trying to track my shots and evaluate my swing
Forgive me?

Please responds I want to know
shot tracer app
Hey brodie what application or software do you use to add shot tracers?
What time of year did you play this round?
Great video, as always! If you ever want to come to the prairies of Canada, let me know and we can swing the sticks! Make sure it’s summer though 👍🏻
Love your vids Brodie keep it up
A very cool contrast from the morning round. That morning round did not look fun. This was is so nice, and you're playing very well!
Brodie, come play chambers bay
brodie that fox only has 3 legs! that’s tripod i’m a caddie at cabot and he’s always around
Pretty safe bet things are gunna move towards the ocean on those putts, right?
Shout out to brodie for actually carrying his clubs🤣, loving the content brodie keep it up
I normally always do unless the club insists I have a caddie
Brodie Smith Golf i was surprised because not everyone carries their own clubs
I'm pretty sure it is illegal to put something on your line as a marker. What I do is walk up my direct line and find a tree in the background or something to aim at that correlates to the spot I want on the line. Tends to work in most situations.
Nice unfortunately on a links course there aren’t any trees hah

When was this video shot? I am from Newfoundland (Neighboring Province) and we had the sticks put away since mid October.
Months ago
Yo is that in Nova Scotia if so go to halls harbour best lobster there also love the vids
Unfortunately we aren't there any longer. These videos were filmed awhile back
Brodie Smith Golf well if you do ever go back amazing lobster
Why don't you play the links course?
This is the links course
I ment the cliffs course sorry
Have always wondered what the story was behind Janice? You two are always fun together!
To answer your question with marking your line with the rake. That is not legal. But when you're just playin to play then there's no harm in that
Might be interesting to set the camera at ground level when putting.
Might do that in the future
I'm not sure if I watch just for tbe golf at this point or for the conversation.
Either way we are glad you are with us
Johannesburg is a place here in South Africa guys 😂🇿🇦 thanks for the shout out though 😉😋
Hey Brodie! What software do you use for shot tracer?
Shot tracer app
Did you played Cabot cliff ? Which one did you prefer?
put the camera feet high to capture the severity of the slope on greens
We will def do that in the future
@@BrodieSmithGolf Love the content, keep up the great work! Come golf in SoCal sometime! much much warmer ;)
