    The 12561 / 12562 Swatantrata Senani Superfast Express is a Superfast express train belonging to Indian Railways that runs between Jaynagar and New Delhi in India. It operates as train number 12561 from Jainagar, Bihar to New Delhi and as train number 12562 in the reverse direction. It services the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. It reverses direction at Samastipur Junction.
    Since September 2017 the 12561/12562 Swatantra Senani Superfast Express with new LHB coaches has 1 AC hot buffet car, 2 AC 1st Class cum AC 2 tier, 1 AC 2 tier, 2 AC 3 tier, 11 Sleeper Class and 3 General Unreserved coaches, and 2 power generator cars.
    The 12561 Swatantra Senani Superfast Express covers a distance of 1234 kilometers in 22 hours 8 mins (55.30 km/hr) and 22 hours 20 mins as 12562 Swatantra Senani Superfast Express (54.24 km/hr).
    As the route is fully electrified, it runs with Kanpur / Gomoh based WAP7 (HOG) equipped locomotive from end to end.
    From 13th September 2020 the operating speed of this train has been raised to 130 kmph between Prayagraj Junction (Allahabad) and Ghaziabad.

    Varanasi Junction railway station (station code: BSB), also known as Varanasi Cantt railway station, is the main railway station serving the city of Varanasi. The other key railway stations in Varanasi Metro area are Banaras (formerly Manduadih), Varanasi City, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn. (Formerly Mughalsarai) and Kashi. The junction station is sandwiched between the cantonment region and Chetganj region of the city. The station is partially controlled by the Lucknow Division of the Northern Railway Zone and the Varanasi Division of the North Eastern Railway Zone of the Indian Railways. Varanasi Junction railway station nearly reaches the frequency of 300 trains daily. Almost, 45 trains originate and terminate at the station. Premium trains of Indian Railways also originate from Varanasi Junction, such as Vande Bharat Express and Mahamana Express. The Varanasi Junction railway station has a modern Route Interlock System with an automated signaling system. Varanasi Junction railway station was ranked 14th among 75 busiest A1 category stations on the cleanliness scale. At present, there are 9 platforms while 3 more platforms are being constructed to take off the load. In 2018, the station was included in the list of 90 stations to be converted into world-class hubs. The upgradation and remodelling of Varanasi junction is being done with a major project of Rs 568.7 crore. A major thrust of the railways is on remodelling of yards, construction of new platforms, beautification, augmentation of passenger amenities such as waiting halls and approach roads. Besides, the modern GRP thana, the expanded building also has a world class waiting lobby, escalators, stairs for a new railway foot over bridge, cafeteria and other passenger amenities.
