My heart broke when Celeste didn’t place at all , not because I wanted her to win regardless, but because as I watched her , I felt and knew what she was fighting for. She fought so hard to get the crown for her mom, herself and her country who supported her every step of the way. I too was raised by a single mother and all I wanted was to retire my mom and see her enjoy life the way she was meant to . I saw the same in Celeste. God bless your heart, your path is being redirected , stay still and stand strong.
I feel sooo sorry for her kasi ramdam na ramdam ko sa kanya na malungkot siya at parang walang kakampi. It’s like being alone in a room packed with people. I felt her sadness during her final walk. It is very evident sa mga mata niya. She never had any participation from the finals. It’s like they just gave her a moment to do her final walk because it has been a tradition. She wasn’t given any spotlight unlike last edition, Bea Luigi Gomez was really on spotlight all night.

For me, as an outsider (not a Filipino), Celeste is one of the strongest MUPs post 2010. I UP UNTIL NOW not sure how or why she didn’t place- if anyone would be unplaced, among the past winners of MUP, I would never have thought that it would be CELESTE. Very sad that she is not appreciated as the others (in my view). She needs and deserve to be appreciated as well
for a pageant-crazy country, i do think so many people here in the Philippines should learn to appreciate their candidates beyond their standing in the international scene or competition..whether they place or not, should not be a case to elicit what they still deserve which is respect. You can see the sadness in her eyes. You can tell she did not want to be there. She looked uncomfortable and unfocused, that she tripped at the start, and her sash kept falling. When she thanked her "dear team", I don't think she was talking about the MUP org. Or maybe she was forced to thank them. Her bittersweet experience was more bitter than it was sweet, and I feel for her.
She is very charming and beautiful it was MUPH organization that caused her fall at the MU 2022 stage and now its the reaction and behavior of the audience and people of the Philippines 🇵🇭 in general that made her to cry and loose her courage. Yes, it's already an achievement to make. Imagine dozen ladies all over the years reaching the semi-finals consecutively, that's just mind-blowing! We should be grateful for what we have achieved. They should really thank Venus Raj for that because she all started this journey of the Philippines becoming a pageant powerhouse almost reaching the levels of Venezuela, India, and even Puerto Rico.
Parang she's holding her emotions. Sana manalo at matalo we should all be kind to our candidates, hndi madali ang ginagawa nila,nandun dapat lagi ang appreciation. I'm sad for Celeste honestly. During the Miss Universe Philippines 2023, her exposure was lesser compared to Rabiya and Beatrice who were given an opening number and a tribute. To MUPH Organization, please be fair in giving treatment to the queens whether they win, they place or didn't have any placement. They deserve equal treatment because representing the country is never easy. I believe Celeste was snubbed by MUPH because she didn't make the semifinals of MU 2023. Celeste doesn't deserve this kind of treatment. I'm disappointed with the MUPH organization for being a snub if the woman didn't make the cut. To Celeste, it's not the end. You will have many opportunities. We love you with or without the title or crown.

Why did MUPh treat Celeste this way? Her failure to make it to the first cut of MU2022 was not her fault. Obviously, they were trying to discredit the Philippines because the fan-base have become so prideful & toxic that it affects the chances of our candidates in the international arena, not only in MU. This was hard to watch. Not only because I know how sad Celeste is feeling after her year as Miss Universe Philippines, but also because everything that could go wrong happened in the span of 3 minutes. Celeste was ruined by the Miss Universe Philippines organization. She would’ve excelled way more if she had her original team guide her. This is what I don’t like about MUPH, they’re too controlling. Unlike Binibini who allowed for Pia and Catriona to have their own team train them!!
And Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta and Binibining Pilipinas had experience on both the ups and downs of Philippines' performances in Miss Universe. If I were Madame Stella, I would really give Shamcey Supsup-Lee some advice.

It was actually a 12-year placing streak for the Philippines in Miss Universe from Venus Raj in 2010 to Beatrice Luigi Gomez in 2021.
Yes, it's already an achievement to make. Imagine dozen ladies all over the years reaching the semi-finals consecutively, that's just mind-blowing! We should be grateful for what we have achieved. They should really thank Venus Raj for that because she all started this journey of the Philippines becoming a pageant powerhouse almost reaching the levels of Venezuela, India, and even Puerto Rico.

Parang she's holding her emotions. Sana manalo at matalo we should all be kind to our candidates, hndi madali ang ginagawa nila,nandun dapat lagi ang appreciation. Ang taas kasi ng standards ng Pinoy tpos kpag wla ka napatunayan parang wala ka ng kwenta, hndi ko alam kung nasa ugali n ng karamihan yan doon lng tayo lagi sa winning moments sana khit hndi nanalo i-celebrate pa rin with pride and dignity yung contestant ntin because they deserve it, hndi nman pwede panalo lagi for Celeste I believe that she always want the best for our country and her intentions are pure.

I already stopped watching beauty pageants because of these mindsets from Filipinos and just revisiting to the classics because Miss Universe used to be lively and enjoyable before. Now it's just full of high standards so much it took a huge drop of standards.

I'm sad for Celeste honestly. During the Miss Universe Philippines 2023, her exposure was lesser compared to Rabiya and Beatrice who were given an opening number and a tribute. To MUPH Organization, please be fair in giving treatment to the queens whether they win, they place or didn't have any placement. They deserve equal treatment because representing the country is never easy. I believe Celeste was snubbed by MUPH because she didn't make the semifinals of MU 2023. Celeste doesn't deserve this kind of treatment. I'm disappointed with the MUPH organization for being a snub if the woman didn't make the cut. To Celeste, it's not the end. You will have many opportunities. We love you with or without the title or crown.
She will be remembered as the streak-breaker but she did her best. I think she deserves to enter into the Top 16 anyways back then. But nonetheless, she gave her all. It's actually the organization was the problem.

When she competed in Miss Earth back in 2018 her performance was way better there. Definitely lost that aura when she competed in Miss Universe 2022.

Why did MUPh treat Celeste this way? Her failure to make it to the first cut of MU2022 was not her fault. Obviously, they were trying to discredit the Philippines because the fan-base have become so prideful & toxic that it affects the chances of our candidates in the international arena, not only in MU.
And to treat Celeste coldly is downright awful and disgusting! Woe to MUPh & Empire!

This was hard to watch. Not only because I know how sad Celeste is feeling after her year as Miss Universe Philippines, but also because everything that could go wrong happened in the span of 3 minutes. Celeste was ruined by the Miss Universe Philippines organization. She would’ve excelled way more if she had her original team guide her. This is what I don’t like about MUPH, they’re too controlling. Unlike Binibini who allowed for Pia and Catriona to have their own team train them!!
And Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta and Binibining Pilipinas had experience on both the ups and downs of Philippines' performances in Miss Universe.
If I were Madame Stella, I would really give Shamcey Supsup-Lee some advice.
So sad to see that until the end hindi siya sinusuportahan ng tao. she did her best.
