Sample Set Creation: Mic Setup AB

In this video I show how to setup microphones in AB configuration for sampling an organ. Keep in mind that this is a very small chamber organ in a small room! If I sampled a large pipe organ in a church the actual measurements and distances would be completely different. The same procedures apply though. Also, sampling has a bit different set of expectations and requirements that differ from recording the organ when music is performed on it. That's why I'm much closer than in a normal recording situation and I'm so very much concerned about directional information among other things. The angle of the camera makes it a bit difficult to exactly see the positions accurately as the perspective is slightly distorted. I hope that this video is informative and helpful anyway!
