- In this video i go air gun hunting for two of the most hated pest species on a farm. The starling and the Rat is the most hated pest species and can be controlled with a effective air gun use. I team up with pro shooter Kevin Du Toit with dual Fx Impact M3 air gun 's to go on a air gun hunting job on a farm based in South Africa . We start of with a air gun hunting day session with high power air gun shots taking down a overload of starling pest birds with clean and effective shots. I also do a air gun hunting field test with my latest custom Fx Impact M3 build with high modified parts. I manage to capture some amazing air gun hunting footage to educate air gun hunters on how to use a air gun effectively on pest birds like starlings. Later the day we got prepped for a night air gun hunting adventure taking out a invasion of rats with a effective night hunting air gun setup. I also do a air gun hunting field test with the Javelot Pro 2 flashlight i received from O-Light south africa. This air gun hunting night was filled with high action ratting and a good showcase how effective the air gun is for rat control on farms. I love air gun hunting and air gun competitive shooting and i put my skills to work on farms that is in need of pest control. Air gun hunting pest control is the most effective and most economy friendly way to get rid of pest species on farms. Without air gun pest control on the farms, the numbers of pest species will spiral out of control and cause major financial lost for the farmers. The air gun 's we use is high power and shoot air gun hunting pellets and slugs at speeds that can take down starlings and rats effective and humane. All the pest rats that was air gun hunted was donated to predator birds rehabs as a source of a meal for predator birds.
My gear i use for hunting is specific for air gun hunting in the day and also at night. I use ATN night vision gear for my air gun and paired with that O-Light lights to scout and search for the pests in the sheds and farm yard. For the best results to hunt rats with a air gun you need to use a ref filter on your lights. I capture air gun hunting footage on my cameras to showcase how effective this air gun hunting setup is and to educate on how to use them safely . I love videography and in mix it up into my air gun shooting career. I love share the thrill of the hunt and teach up coming air gun hunters the correct way how to use a air gun safely and hunt humanely as well. I am a professional air gun hunter and competitive shooter that do this for a living. I work closely with big air gun developers such like Fx Airguns and air gun ammo suppliers HN Sport. I am research and develop air guns and air gun slugs. I was the co-designer of the T slot design that HN Sport recently applied to most of their air gun slug products i used in this video to hunt down pest starlings. These air gun slugs and pellets is a must for air gun hunting and for competitive shooting.
It was a great day and night to hunt with my air gun hunting friend. He really know his stuff when it comes down to air gun hunting these most hated pest species. Omg i love those pops when the slugs hit target ! For me the best slugs out there overal are still the Nielsen slugs. H&N took the lead with the BC but nothing beats a good expanding slug so i hope they are spot on the mark now with the redesingned hollowpoint !! I also keep the slugs just sub to increase impact ! 😆 The flying head omg nothing beats that !!!!! 😆

I love the sound of the impact. I wish I had your hunting grounds, For that I am very jealous, in a good way. Yet another excellent video G. Thank you for sharing. is two years now we lost all migrating birds in the area and magpies and crows we had in big numbers, disappear also. We ask from the animal farmers here to let us help them wiht the rats but are very negative to let us in their farms to shot.
By the way I love all your videos because you explain so well about the setups . Right now I am shooting the h & n 27 grain at 1005 FPS 217. and they are devastating. And I am shooting the 30 grain at 1005 ish FPS and they are devastating as well and both are very accurate. I bought the h & n 34 grain and without the tungsten hammer and using the 700 mm barrel and without that top rail you have the red one to keep it tight as well . My speed is at the maximum 965 or 970 FPS. With the reg open 165 bar . Do you know if at 950 the 34 grain 218 are accurate or I have to shoot them more than a 1000 ?

Hate are such a strong word, i really only use in in relation to politicians.
BTW i finally got around to trying the 13 gr H&N slugs, and they appear to be just as useful as the other slugs i shoot that are the same weight.
Looking forward to get .177 Heavy liner though, should be imminent.

A friend over here in UK has a firearm registered air rifle, for rabbits and foxes the power is high and he uses slugs out to maybe 150 metres. For ratting the power is turned down to about 12 ftlb about the limit for an unregistered airgun, seldom longer than 25 metres and minimum damage to non rat objects (and lots more air available)

Great shooting, as always. I like watching "ratting" videos and yours is right up there with other shooters. Rats destroy just about everything and many times carry diseases. You are doing the owner a big favor terminating those rats.

Love it.I target these,too.I am fast moving into the “starling season” around here if you will.From about January to June,they get thick around here,although they can be found all year long.I cant wait,either.Til then your awesome videos will do just fine.House sparrows,I rack up a half dozen of those usually everyday this time of year.Yesterday,I went 5/5 house sparrows just with regulated Marauder and Air Arms 16 grain pellets.Longest shot was 52 yards but there was absolutely no wind,either.
