Taeyang broke on to the world chart which never been done by a korean before. Which ment he the song was charting outside of Asia enough to be considered the top song in the world. Like Daft Punk before Kanye Sampled them. They were huge outside of America and had fans but if you went up to someone and ask them If they were a fan they wouldn't know who they were. Wedding dress was the first kpop song to be noticed by the world but didn't break through in America. They tried with a English version but it wasn't as good and flopped.

My introduction to Korean music was a song by Taeyang; it's called "I need a girl," and because of him, I got to know BIGBANG. The first song that I listened to by them as a whole group was "Lies," and my heart has been theirs since that day.
I can understand why. Their music sounds like R&B songs I use to listen to growing up. If they were on the playlist I bet I wouldn't have noticed it was a Korean Artist

Taeyang, being late to the confession, didn't interrupt the dating relationship of the two coz both are his friends. He didn't wanna ruin the friendship.
