5:04 - Excellent arm structure at the top. Makes use of gravity with very high hands. Transition is a little different than most. He rotates his hips aggressively, but maintains very good hip depth throughout, which makes lots of room for his arms to swing. Reminds me of Bianca's power on the LPGA, with that amazing rotational torque, literally lifting the lead foot off the ground. I think too many people assume that they are leaping off the ground, but that is not the case. Ask Justin if he thinks about leaping, almost guarantee he says NO! He thinks about clearing as fast as he can, making room. It is the rotational torque that literally lifts them off the ground, and not so much pushing off the ground with their legs. At some point the hips or pelvis must extend, usually full extension for the pros is well past impact, and it is this extension that pulls the lead leg up and off the ground, it is not a conscious leap. Justin Thomas is an excellent golfer and athlete. I'm astounded how far he hits the ball!!

This video is excellent. I’m not a fan of what Bryson Dechambeu is doing because he really doesn’t need extra length. Justin Thomas is a world class golfer with a slim build. Regardless, all these exercise movements are precisely what a golfer needs. I’d rather look like J.T. than B.D.

The thing that people dont understand is that this video is about to maximize the use and ability of your muscles not to gain them. Because you can be built like bryson but you don't maximize your performance and JT will hit the ball further than you. Thats why people say JT the longest golfer pound for pound. Not in general.

Does this guy actually teach these actual golfers or is this just what he thinks they are doing ? I doubt he teachers them personally but if so very cool 👍🏻🏌🏻‍♂️⛳️

Justin Thomas is definitely one of the smallest guys on tour not chirping him just saying I wanna workout like koepka, DJ, Dechambeau not a guy I’m already bigger than😂

I disagree. Does he need all the heavy lifting that has, basically, been proven to lead to injury? He's #1 or 2 in the world. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. He's a golfer not a power lifter.

@@pb12661 When has it been proven to lead to injury? What if I told you that if they trained harder they would be injured less frequently, there’s more evidence of that. I understand he’s in the top of the world golf ranking, I’m a JT fan, but he could get a lot more out of following a more explosive based training protocol.

@@BigTTown502 Let’s take a look at all of the golfers with career threatening/ending injuries, it was due to back or neck or hip injuries that’s caused from overuse. The best way to combat that is to build the muscles around the core, back and legs and shoulders to combat that. This style of training JT has put zero to no muscle on his frame. It’s good for contracting the muscle in a therapy sense if you have major atrophy from injury. It will not however cause hypertrophy which is what is needed to protect your body!
