I like to think that, because of how much Monotone is shapeshifting, he starts to deform and basically bug out in some way, causing a weird and laggy mess, resulting in the server crashing after the song ends.
This is just me, but I think it would have been really epic to have Monotone let out a roar of rage at around 3:54, symbolizing how even when imitating the strongest Impostor in the mod, he still can’t kill BF. He begins to lose composure of his shapeshifting abilities, resulting in his perfect disguises to meld together into a disgusting mass of red, green, and black impostor bodies fighting for dominance in the blob of his visage repertoire. After 4:38, Monotone would be seen kneeling in defeat before BF, completely devoid of color, a representation of how he lost himself in his own abilities that he can’t recall who, or even what, he is supposed to be. Once BF finishes the song, Monotone turns to dust and blows away, scattered across the cosmos to become part of something much larger than the ego he once had. Yeah, it’s a bit much, and is really deep for funni beebop game, but I feel like it would be perfect in this context.
Man, who cares if it's too deep? This entire mod, not to mention the lore behind it, is already extreme overkill for some. Besides, I don't even mind how big the mod is, and I really love the extra storytelling you put in!
This song is my favorite of the entire mod. Finale and this made the most impact, but if I were to choose from either 2, it has to be Identity Crisis. I love Finale but IdCr's long song length took advantage of having more sections played and didn't even feel dragged out for me, but moreso increased my vibe every section is played. (Also because I love the fact BF is fighting against different Impostors, which is sick asf)
This gives such a huge vibe of "You're not ready to face the end", or just recapping everything you've gone through, when your journey is clearly about to end (Finale).

Seriously, this track is EPIC. That beginning made me think of some fusion between Liminal Spaces and some Analog Horror-like Impostor... And the rest made me think of the many other deceptive forms this character takes, all from the previous weeks, haunting you and trying to break you from the shadows. Almost like the "right-hand" man of Black Impostor, guiding him to his victims and setting up Defeats everywhere...
Here's who I can see being with Black. Grey, due to insanity driven reasons. Monotone, since he, like you said, is Black's 'Right-hand man'. White, because of Double Kill.
If you were to put the instrumentals as a track of an anime battle, no one would ever be able to tell that this came from a rythym game about Among Us. In other words, THIS IS BEYOND SPECTACULAR, not only it sounds epic, it makes YOU feel epic.
This was by far one of the best songs in the mod. it really sets the tone of whats to come next (blacks message and the ominous tone of the finale menu). and you just GOTTA love the visuals and the music being incredibly dramatic and cinematic. I love the fact that this imposter (Monotone) was leaked at the end of 2021 on 4chan and after that leak nothing was heard about him even I thought the leak was fake or removed but here it is after so long.
The fact the monotone guy is a mystery. There wasn't any leaks or teasers prior to the release date and last year. And when beat all the story mode weeks not counting finale, you opened up freeplay. You scroll down to the bottom and you see a plague doctor themed impostor with a song called identity crisis. You play it and you are shocked to find out monotone was real all along.
I think that's a result of the creator, admittedly, making the song as a joke It was supposed to be "the most generic metal song", but then the team actually took a liking to it! But as a result of that...I can kinda see it, just felt a bit clunky
I really love the rhythm of this song it's so incredibly epic amazing and mysterious I love it out of curiosity I put it on speed 0.75 and for my taste it sounds great it sounds like with more feeling and in a more epic way in the intermediate parts like in 3:43 without a doubt a masterpiece and one of my favorite songs I love it :3
