This has been one of my most hyped games of the year, which is really saying something with how loaded 2023 has been. If Cookie Cutter plays as good as it looks, then it will be an absolute gem.
The game is pretty fun, the movement, animations, and combat feels great. Parrying takes some time to get the timing right but it can be super satisfying to master it. They are all well done. Now, the map moves too slowly, and sometimes using R to look around and ahead would create a mirror-like vision that made it harder to see. Some glitches here and there plus using the same enemy bosses toward the ending gets a bit tiresome but other than that this game is a must-play for Metrovania fans. 9/10
thanks for the review, not many people know about this game; unfortunately I have a lot of games in my backlog with this exact type and think I might hold off for now no matter how awesome it looks
OMG, been waiting for this one since first seeing the trailer a long while back. Each time the developers offered up a new look, it always seemed greatly improved from the last. Glad to see it's showing on the better side of good vs bad. Great to see it's finally arriving, hopefully it lives up to the hype in my head. Lol
Going to get this, love 2D combat/exploration games. As an older gamer, i enjoy these games, warts and all. Thank you for the coverage, keep up the good work!
I just found your channel a few day's ago & after 2 minutes of watching my first video I subscribed to your channel which I must honestly admit the channel is Dope 👍🏿 And I just bought this game about 20 minutes ago 😱😱😱😂😂😂
I truly hope that the movement and controls do not falter like the last case of Benedict fox did. That was another title that I eagerly anticipated, and it left me with a bad impression, sadly. Two totally different developers here, but have the same publisher.
Great looking game! Super cool art style and smooth animations! It has that old school vibe that I like in indie games but visuals are modern! Cool combination of a platformer game and beat'em up! It also has some cyberpunk influences wich fits my taste!
Major red flag when the developers are saying that they don’t want you to show off too much of there game. It either means it’s much smaller than what’s being marketed or it’s very repetitive and they know it.
Oh so is the creator and the "Cookie Cutter" android lesbians? I had no idea I thought it was a mother-and-daughter relationship. But sounds like they are lovers?
Something is quite off-putting about the female characters being tortured and abused, the upskirts, and a talking vagina. Cool animations and cartoony artstyle but the exploitation vibes isn't doing it for me. Thanks for the impressions!
Especially aince it was made by two men. Not saying there's anything wrong with Men writing particularly dark media with women involved, it's just a very tough line to walk and it feels like they stumbled into "ehhhhh" territory
In what universe is this character being sexualized by men? Also you do realize women can also be attracted to women and women worked on this game. I guess logic gets in the way of you throwing out some pc buzzwords to show how enlightened you are.

It plays great so far!

I haven't seen a game with this many panty flashes since Valkyrie Drive.

Thanks for checking out the video and welcome to the channel!

I think you'll enjoy it 😁
3 DAYS LEFT IM READY!!!!
I beat it a few days ago. I loved it! I’d give it a 9/10
Awesome!
Defo gonna pick this up today. I just finished Blasphemous 2, so still need that Metroidvania itch scratching
Hope you enjoy :)

Welcome aboard!
Is there custom button mapping for controllers?
I'll have to check on that for you the options were limited. Though technically any steam game can be remapped.
@@IDreamofIndie Cool, thanks!
Looks great! Makes me think a bit of Super Daryl Deluxe...
Good call!
Is the optimization good? the requirements on steam seem pretty high
It ran great but I do have a pretty beastly rig. 4k was no issue on a 4070
Runs flawless on steamdeck so mid pc should smash it.
This looks really cool; very punk rock! I think I'm going to have to check this one out once it's released.
Please do!
This looks absolutely awesome! Does anyone know what the price will be?
Not sure they have said yet!
@@jurtheorc8117 $19.99 US sounds like a steal I hope so esp if they chip of $2 for early buyers

No the controls feel pretty good!
Posted 2 days ago, comes out today. I’m curious as to how old this built is since it’s out already
It's not super old, I went over some of the expected changes in the video from this build to the final!
FINALLY! 2 more days🤗🤗🤗🤗
Enjoy 😊

Nice!!
@@jurtheorc8117 I still need to play Soulstice more but I at least bought that one close to launch so I'm still feeling good bout myself
Tarantino so insanely violent or tons of feet stuff
For sure!
Hopefully the game will be a success. It just looks too good.
Hopefully! It is coming out late in the year so I hope it doesn't get overlooked.
This and #Blud got on my indie radar this year besides PT and Showgunners.
Great title 👌 makes me want to play without watching a review
Definitely didn't need to go into such detail about the beginning story like that tho...
so = Guacamelee playstyle
It looks promising. Hopefully you can upgrade to pants though.
Haha maybe?

It more than usual means they don't want the game spoilt

It seems to point to a relationship at the start but we will just have to see how that all plays out!
@@IDreamofIndie Thank you for being so quick to respond to us (esp for such a large channel). Just blown away by yall. A+ professionals

I'm not a fan of women being constantly sexualized by cishet men so i def wont be picking this up.
