    Jason Nolf is outstanding. I know it’s early, and I know his weight-class is packed, but he will win a World Championship one day.

    That was the strangest pin I've ever seen. Martinez seemed to just lie there and take the pin. Was he injured?

      TheTerryE yeah for a ncaa champ you'd think Martinez would bridge hard as fuck especially because he's so strong

      Nate Williams
      Instead he gives up. It’s clear here and at the NCAA finals this past March. One he’s on his back he has no fight in him.

    "Tim, that was no fluke." I'd say that was a pretty prescient statement.

    Imar's Achilles was always that he had NO gastank. He was so used to muscling guys all through high school. He was either gonna drop you in the first or his match was over.

  • @jt519
    @jt519 5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Martinez gave up just like he did with Jospeh, it seems as if the pressure gets too heavy IMAR folds.

    • @crimsonchin142
      @crimsonchin142 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorta cause he did win back to back titles and four big ten titles so ehh

    • @jt519
      @jt519 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@crimsonchin142 True, but like in really big moments when he’s the underdog he folds. I’ll be cheering for him at Oly Trials.

    • @aidendroutzur3648
      @aidendroutzur3648 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jt519 he was never the underdog in these matches tho so that doesn’t make sense

    • @kenneth1755
      @kenneth1755 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      "pressure" was not imar's weakness. And he never just gave up. If you made him work hard for three or four minutes his gastank was on E. Being well muscled is a blessing in wrestling for about four minutes. After that you're f'd.

      @@kenneth1755 True, I wrote this when I was 15-16, much older now and understand how body make up affects your performance. Just genetics.

    I love watching the tough guy wrestler completely ego driven, walk onto the mat against Nolf, and watching Nolf as he deconstructs and scatters their soul into each corner of the mat, and when the buzzer or whistle ends the match, a shattered and forever broken version of his opponent stumbles off the mat.
